Sorting Hat Form

Before you go to fill out the sorting hat form, make sure that you have a username that follows our rules. If you don't, your form will be rejected. Do not rush to answer the form! There's no prize for sending it in first. The prize for sending in a hasty, poorly thought out form, however, is ending up in the wrong house. So take your time. Once you have been sorted into a house, you may NOT request to change houses. Instead, you will put a smile on your face and support your fellow house members. You may not begin attending classes until you have been sorted into a house, but you may interact with other students.

To submit the form, click on my name (it appears next to this post at the very top) and go to my profile. Hit 'Send a message.' Then, type your answers into the message and hit send. Be sure to number your answers.

1. Register with a name that follows our rules.

2. Make sure the Sorting Hat is accepting forms. The Sorting Hat accepts forms for one week once a month. To view the Sorting Hat schedule, click here.

3. Remember you may only send in one form total for this year. If you send forms in from multiple accounts, we will not sort ANY of them. I made that big and bold because no matter how many places we say it, people seem not to notice that rule. Then we have to feel bad about not sorting you. The nice mods feel bad, I mean.

4. Fill out the sorting form as thoroughly as possible. The better we understand your character, the more likely we can put you in the right house. For some in depth information on each house, please check out this topic on sorting. (Note: After you fill out the form, you will never see your answers again. Copy them to a file on your computer if you think you'll want to see them again someday.)

5. Wait for a PM from the Sorting Hat. Be patient, it could take up to three days. If you don't receive a PM from the Sorting Hat within a week, contact one of the moderators.

If your form is:
....Accepted: Congratulations! You may now begin attending classes!

....Rejected: Don't worry, you can still be sorted. Be sure to read the reasons for the rejection carefully, then resend your form to fix the problem.
