Belinda grinned. "I can still tell your facial expressions even when others think you're asleep. How's your head?"
"Um, I'm gonna say because you hit it pretty hard." Belinda said. She was hoping the past wouldn't come to haunt her, but it was inevitable.
((What happened? Why does Lauren hate her?))
((What happened? Why does Lauren hate her?))
((um, idk, thinking of something frantically. just thought it would be a good plot twister))
Lauren just reached her hand back, and felt warm blood still seeping from the wound. Grimacing, she laid back on the floor, emotions flooding through her.

((It is, just trying to play along, lol))
Belinda got up to grab wrappings and some food and water. "Here..." She handed her the food and staunched the bleeding.

Belinda grinned, reminded of when Lauren was ten. She had been 16 at the time, though...
Belinda couldn't hold back the laugh anymore and looked away. "You haven't change much."
Belinda tried to stifle her laughs. "Oh, I'm sorry... I just... Wow, the memories..."
"I think the conversation went something like this the last time we saw each other..."
Belinda grinned. "Ah... It's refreshing to see you again... It's been.. how long? 6 years?"
"Oh, that was mean!" Belinda swatted Lauren's shoulder jokingly. "I think we were on better terms then."
Belinda sobered and rolled her eyes. "What was it? That put us on these... terms?" She said quietly.
"Well? You know I don't have a very good memory..."
"Over?" Belinda scanned her memories, trying to remember.
Laya walked in to see that Lauren was awake. She narrowed her eyes a little, nodded, and went to the veggies.

Christy pointed to Lauren, whispering to Laya, "Isn't she awesome?!"
Lauren grimaced. "You wanted to just stay low. I wanted to fight back."
Lauren grimaced. "You wanted to just stay low. I wanted to fight back."
"Mmm..." Belinda faintly remembered that argument. She looked confused. "That's all? I haven't seen you in so long for that? Huh..."
Laya grimaced. "She's annoying... I might come to like her. You acted like this when I first met you, but now look at us!" She laughed as she made a salad.

Christy shrugged, still snickering. "We're gonna be great friends, me and her."
Lauren snorted. "It got a little bit more ugly than that."
Lauren snorted. "It got a little bit more ugly than that."
Belinda grimaced, suddenly remembering. "Right..."
Laya tilted her head, listening. She suddenly felt the urge to know what happened. She sat next Belinda eating her salad, disturbed by how similar they looked. "What happened?"

Belinda sighed. "Well... Well first, Lauren, have you met my daughter, Laya?"
"Yeah, she has..." Laya wrinkled her nose taking another bite.
"Yeah, she has..." Laya wrinkled her nose taking another bite.
Laya gasped. "That wasn't nice! That... Uh!" She flipped her off back.
Belinda laughed.
Belinda laughed.
Laya stopped and tried to calm down. This woman was a lot like Christy... She just had to stop fighting Lauren, and maybe, just maybe, Laya would stop hating her so much... That seemed far fetched... "Well?"
Belinda hesitated. She didn't exactly want to go into this...
Belinda hesitated. She didn't exactly want to go into this...
Belinda sighed in resignation. "Lauren wanted to fight those people, I said we should hide and train... We, obviously, disagreed. Well, we both... over reacted. We fought... Used our powers... Haven't talked since."
Laya stared at Belinda, then looked at Lauren. "She left something out, didn't she?"
Laya stared at Belinda, then looked at Lauren. "She left something out, didn't she?"
Belinda grimaced. "If you think it's the most important, why don't you tell it?"
Belinda grinned. "She didn't ask anyone in particular."
Laya stayed perfectly still and silent.
Laya stayed perfectly still and silent.
Lauren nodded. "Fine. I tried to attack them, and I almost succeeded. But Belinda intervened, costing almost all of us our lives."
Laya nodded. It bothered her that it sounded like something she would do... She frowned and looked at her salad. "I see..."
Laya's eyes hardened. "I'm as close to seeing as I can." She looked up at Lauren. "You're very much like Christy, and... as much as I hate to say this... I'm very much like my mother." She clenched her jaw and looked back down.
Laya snorted. "As if I'm fond of you... I don't get it at all... friends with Christy, hate you, and yet your both very much the same..."
Laya tilted her head. "True... I guess that's it. So, before your hatred, I would have liked you." Laya nodded her head and got up to clean off her dish and went outside. "Geoff, she's up..."
Geoffry went into the warehouse. "Hey..." He had only met her briefly before, but he knew her a lot.

Lauren saw Belinda watching her, and inwardly groaned. This was even worse than expected.
