Laya stuck her tongue out at Christy and then suddenly seemed to remember the day before. "Wow... and to think, yesterday none of us knew each other and now we're going everywhere with each other... not that there's a lot of places to go, but still." Laya smiled.
"okay see you there" Lyla started the walk to DQ but felt someone following her she turned around to see Daniel behind her.
"where are you going?" he asked "i can give you a ride"
"sorry i don't take rides from strangers" Lyla said scornfully then walked away.

"Oh, I know, I know... It's all OK." Laya patted Christy on the back, grinning.
Lyla arrived at the Dariy Queen and got a table for the group. She then ordered a gaint basket of French Fries
"OK, well, let's go!" She forgot that Kayla was offering a ride and started running, arriving at the doors. She turned around briefly and then went inside and sat across from Lyla. "Hello."
"Hi, I got french fries for Christy." she said motioning to the basket "but you can have some too."
Laya laughed. "Nah, I'm good. OK, listen. In gym, Sarah started glowing and the coach guy saw it. He knows about Christy and Sarah, but not about us. We left early to come here and figure it out... but I kinda... held us up. I crashed into another car... but that's beside the point!"
"Yeah, I'm fine... Sarah has a bump on her head, not sure about Christy. I was trying to prove a point to her, but I don't think it really worked. Anyway, that's beside the point. What are we going to do about the gym teacher dude?"
"we will have to talk to him, this is a problem. Maybe we can threaten him we have enough power combined that it should be bribe enough to keep him quiet."
"No... He can't know about us. He only knows about Christy and Sarah. Christy said he couldn't know about us." Laya shook her head. "Ha! If only there were the power to erase minds... And even if there is, we don't know anyone with it..."

"I don't think they should... you never know what he would do with them. With their power..." Laya shook her head. "I thought I hated gym before..." Laya snorted.

"I'm so lucky i don't have to do it. My parents bribed the school so i just take dance to make up for it."
Laya barked a laugh. "Maybe I'll do that..."
"I don't do well running or any of the stuff in gym plus i always got beat up."
"I'm pretty good... I never got beat up, I'm always captain... but I hate PE."
"why? if you are good why hate it?"
"My family." She said flatly, pursing her lips.
"ok?" Lyla said not understanding but getting enough from Laya's tone not to persuse the subject. "So, um how long are your parents gone?"
"Until they remember where I live. Maybe... Haven't seen them in about two years." Laya shook her head. "They're always... I don't know! They did something big and important for the world... probably something to do with sports... so now they're always gone."
"oh wow, i'm sorry. I thought i had it bad my parents are only home for one week a month"
"they go on buissness trips at least that's what they tell me, i don't even know what they do"
"is that what your parents say too?"
"No, my parents have never told me that. My nannies, maids.. the people my parents hired to watch me until I could watch myself." Laya said. "And my cousin... I talk to him once a month."
"does any of your family know what you are?"
"No. You and the others are the first one's to know. Teachers have seen me and had phone conferences with my mother, but she deemed that they were crazy and pulled me out of whatever the school was."
"wow, so you have changed schools alot?"
"Yeah... Before I was ten just because I went to 'daddy'," she twisted the name. "to tell on a bully. After I was ten, because I couldn't control myself..."
"since i got my power i only had to change schools twice because i accedetally flooded them but finger were never pionted at me."
Laya grinned. "Yours is more likely to be an accident... but really, clear day and suddenly there's lightning on the playground?"
"yeah that is more noticeable than a sudden rainstorm." Lyla said smiling
"We should have met earlier... with your rainstorms and my lightning strikes, no one would have been the wiser." Laya grinned.
"Yeah it would have been great then i would have had a friend that much sooner"
"Yes... we would have." Laya tilted her head. "What if we've all seen each other before? I mean, like, passing each other on the streets or something."
"I don't understand what you mean"
"We could have seen each other before. We see people every day walking down the street. What if we've been one of those people? And we didn't know that we were all alike, and that we would meet again and become friends. Because... one of my schools, I changed from that because it got flooded. What if I've known you or Mika before?"
"that could be true. Where was it?"
"Um... it was... Utah... I lived there for all of two months." Laya laughed.
"Oh it might have been Mica i didn't live in Utah, well i might have before i was 8 but i don't remember"
"I don't know." Laya shrugged.
