Christy shrugged. "A little, I guess. I passed out almost immediately though. Woke up at home, with burns all over my body, but alive."

Laya smiled. "Sounds like me. Lightning struck, and I was shocked and my body tried to protect itself, and I passed out. I guess a neighbor must have seen me.." She shrugged. "Well, there's 5 bedrooms. They all have blankets and pillows and stuff. There's a bathroom downstairs and upstairs." Laya pointed them out. "I'm going to bed... I'm so sleepy..." Laya went into her room and flopped on the bed, falling asleep immediately.
((OK... I'm confused, but OK...))
"Okay... goodnight?" Sarah said hearing Laya's even breathing immediately.
She turned to Christy. "So."
She turned to Christy. "So."

Christy headed upstairs. For the first time that day she felt truly alone. By now her parents would have forgiven her, and they would have eaten popcorn and watched tv together. But not tonight. Not ever again. She turned so her head was on the pillow, and started to cry, letting the fluff muffle her sobs. She tossed her hand backwards to show that she had heard Sarah.
Sarah stood uncomfortably in the middle of the room alone. "Okay. Well. I guess I'll go to bed too?" she said, talking to herself.
((Haha... OK... sorry for abandoning you!))
(( that's okay ))
Sarah went into the room across from Christy's. "Goodnight!" she called. She got under the dark blue comforter and stared at the glow-in-the-dark stickies on the ceiling. Everything seemed to mock her. Her parents thought she was crazy and the only person who she had told everything to was dead as of last month.

Christy managed a hiccuppy "goodnight!" Suddenly, she did the only thing she could think of to help her. "Hey Sarah?" she whispered into the darkness. "You want to bunk together?"
Sarah wiped away a tear and smiled a little. "Sure." she called. She walked into Christy's room.
"I'll take the floor."
"I'll take the floor."
((No, I was saying bye to Mack-a-doodle...))
((kk... should it be morning?))
((Yay!! But should it be morning?))
Laya lifted her head groggily from her pillow. She didn't remember being here... Oh, yeah. She moved. New room. She glanced the the clock and jumped up. School started in 30 minutes! She quickly changed clothes and on her way to the bathroom yelled, "Wake up! School's gonna start, soon!" She brushed her teeth and went downstairs to gather her stuff.
Christy woke up immediately, and started to change. She scrubbed a brush over her teeth, and then charged down the stairs. "Is there any breakfast material?"
Laya tossed her bag on the couch and raided the kitchen. "Yeah, there's a couple kinds of cereal... I don't think we have time for much else." She whipped out the bowls and spoons, the cereals, and the milk. She poured herself a bowl. "There's cocoa puffs, and cheerio's."
Christy grabbed the Cheerio's and poured some milk in too. Then she began scarfing down her meal.
"OK... 15 minutes..." Laya ran upstairs and searched one of the cupboards for the extra supplies. She found them and put them together, than ran back downstairs. "Here's school stuff, Christy."
"What do you mean, what do you have to do?" Laya tilted her head.
"Oh, um... Are you registered?"
Christy shrugged. "I don't know. I've been home schooled my entire life. But you could pretend that I hadn't gotten registered or something..."
"Um.. Tag along with me today, and tomorrow I'll talk to the school. Then they'll probably give papers for you to fill out and you'll have your own classes. I think.." Laya's eyebrows scrunched. She wasn't exactly sure.
Christy shrugged again. She wouldn't question the girl who has gone to public school all of her life.
"yeah they should we can just take you into the office and they'll give you papers."
