Shadowpaw crouched down, then sprang at her back. But instead, he dropped to her belly, and began battering it.

Mapletail took Shadowpaw into the woods and explained a few proper hunting techniques. "Now, let's see what you can catch."

Shadowpaw dropped into a hunting crouch, and began stalking a mouse. He sprang onto it, grabbed it, and bit its' neck.

Graydawn felt the kits starting to come out. "They are coming" she yowled pushing with all her strengh.

Starpaw nodded eagerly. "I'm pretty good with hunting, but not really with fighting."

"Well it was your first day" Oakpaw mewed his belly growling. "Want to share a vole" he asked already heading toweards the pile.

"How can I stop them" Graydawn yowled noticing the urge to have them come out was not as bad. "I think I will be okay" she mewed out of breath and very sweaty.

Meltingclaw started giving her some herbs. "This will slow down the process, if not stop it entirely."

Oakpaw let Starpaw eat her fill then he finished it off. He started to groom Starpaw.

Graydawn ate the herbs she barely noticed the taste or even if she was actually eating the herbs or her bedding.

Starpaw groomed him as well, thinking over the day.


Meltingclaw could only sit to the side and see if the herbs worked.

Oakpaw loved spending time with Starpaw. "What do you think your warrior name will be?" he asked wanting to talk about something.

Greaydawn started to breath more evenly but kept on shivering.

"I don't know, but I kinda want to be named Oakwhisker or Oakfeather" Oakpaw said. "I think Starblaze would be a beautiful" eh added.

Meltingclaw quickly put some leaves and feathers on top of her.

Graydawn started to drift off. She kept tossing and turning. "Is something wrong with me" she asked starting to cry.

"If for some reason something goes wrong save the kits" Graydawn said falling asleep.

Graydawn woke-up with a pain in her gut. The kits are coming she thought. "Meltingclaw" she yowled feeling the first kit coming.

Meltingclaw ran in, trying to calm her and himself.

She pushed...one kit. She looked and saw a tiny creature then another painful feeling. She pushed another kit and then another. She relaxed it was over.

Graydawn closed her eyes for a moment then looked at the 3 kits. "there beautiful" she said in a motherly tone. "Could you get Burningstar" she asked then nudged the kits towards her belly.
