I agree completely! That's what I try to tell my friends at school! I've been trying to convince them to accept their inner nerd! Normal is boring! Being around someone "normal" all the time would be awful!

LOL though I shouldn't laugh, that's me
I remember in the Hunger Games my friends hadn't read the book yet but they accompanied me to watch the movie anyways and they didn't understand a thing
Conversation
' So why did they always focus on Dale for, is he like a main character
Me: it's Gale and he is a main character
'Oh, So what's the girls name Candace'
Me: her name is Katniss and her sister's name is Primrose
'What silly names, Candace is a much better name'
Me: Shakes head and sighs 'Anything else you want to know.
'Oh yeah, so why are they rebelling against a TV Show
Me: they are not rebelling against the TV show they are rebelling against the Capitol
'What's the Capitol,'
me: 'The Capitol is the kind of Government which controls Panem'
'What's Panem'
me: 'It is where they Live'
'No, they live in District 12'
Me: ' No, district 12 is 1 of 13 districts, 1 destroyed which they live in'
'Oh, so what will the rest of the movies be about'
me: Rebellion
Then we walk past Borders and the Hunger Games books are there.
We walk in I pick up the book and give it to them
'Here read.'

You made me laugh so much!!! I reckon there should just be a place to get free copies of life changing books, so we can skip the whole "100 questions" act and just give these people the real thing!:D

Very! I have it too so no worries. It's definitely one of my main problems.
I recently started reading a couple of books at the same time.
I find it better in a way because if i get to a boring part in the book I stop swap to the other book I was reading and then come back to this one and force myself to read the boring part.
Also, I have this really weird problem where i can never skip a page or chapter of a book no matter how boring it is.

Oh my gosh - same!! I'm afraid I will miss something of actual relevance, but it's mainly a feeling of laziness/reluctance. If it's boring I can't skip anything...I'll just put down the book until I feel like reading it again!

I do the exact same thing! I hate when people tell me that they skipped ahead or skimmed through a book! It just really bothers me! There's no way I could ever do that!

I have always been a very slow reader and partly because i think it is due to the fact that i really like reading all the little details & immersing myself within the storyline. I hat..."
I am usually a pretty fast reader and love picking up on little details I missed the first time through. I love finding things on my own when not looking for them. It is one of the many joys of reading. I guess that's why I enjoy classics so much! Haha Reading through Harry Potter I always find new things, for instance, this past time I read it I had just watched, It's a Wonderful Life, and I noticed that in this movie the good guy's name is Harry, and the bad guy, Mr. Potter. I was so amazed! J. K Rowling took the two names and combined them to make Harry Potter. I thought that this was her way of letting us know that Harry is both good and bad. Good, for obvious reasons, and bad, because of the fact that he himself is a horcrux and has a little bit of Voldemort in him! I was so excited when I discovered this!
P.S I have missed conversing with you too. You always have great comments and are very fun to talk to!

Wow. What an awesome conversation. Seriously. You made me laugh so hard that I seriously rolled of the bed!:) it hurts:( but still laughing!;)
My Nerd Girl Moment:
I've done the Premier's Reading Challenge for 8 years in a row and apparently I'm the only person who has done that.
My librarian wants me to write an article for the school newsletter about my "journey" doing the reading challenge.
When I am really not bothered and would rather read a book.
I hate publicity... =_="

Heh! I feel the same way! :)

My nerd girl moment...last year I went to space camp (in Alabama - look it up!) basically spending a fortnight being a space and science nerd. When I got back home (I live in Australia) my principal made me stand up in front of the whole school and give a presentation about the experience. It wasn't until I finished that I realised what a nerd I sounded like, talking about 'space camp'. My friends still tease me sometimes hahaha, but no regrets!

LOL
I am such a nerd that I have a document on my computer with new facts I learnt through everyday life. I've had one for each year since 2007

One of my friends went to that! It sounded like so much fun!

That sounds apsolutely facinating! what an unusual & increadible thing to do!

Spending hours walking around a library just looking at all the books, until eventually someone had to shout at me so that i came out of my trance!

Sounds like something I would do!

I have about 3 different copies of each Harry Potter book (the childrens UK cover, the adult UK cover & the American covers)!
Also with 'The Lord of the Rings' which i have about 6 different copies of, including the film covers...
