Kindle Problems

I have the Kindle 3. When I press the Aa button everything is NOW greyed out except for landscape options. So I am unable to change font size, TTS, change line spacing or words per line. I have already did two restarts & it has not corrected the issue.
Advice?

Could it be a function of the particular book you are reading? Have you tried other books?

Is it a .pdf file?

it was a corrupted file i think. i used calibre so i guess i didn't convert correctly. all of the other books seems to work fine. thanks :)

A pdf file, is just a format used for documents. If I remember correctly, it mean portable document format.
