What villain would you have rather the heroine ended up with, than the actual would-be hero? :8

Sometimes the villains suit my penchant for life squandering revenge and the indisputably mal-intentive hankerin' to rid of every last one-celled organism the author used for a character placeholder. lol I mean really... villains need reformed too! So, tragically obscured souls may jus' take a little longer to replenish and clear out the black maggots and junk. >.>

Heh heh.

Funny you should use that picture because I really hate that movie and could only watch it once. :D Gaston was so much more entertaining than that stupid Beast. :P

In Bound by the Heart, I thought the villain Bennett Winfield was the best part and overshadowed the hero by far. :D

I see absolutely no difference between the relevancy of either character...so, they shouldn't have killed him off. ;( It's one of my favorite Walt Disney films--after Sword in the Stone & Robin Hood, that is!

Hmmm...I've yet to indulge myself on that book, either. Someone mentioned you had a partiality to it though? :D

I found myself commiserating with Darken Rahl from Terry Goodkind's series. Don't ask me why...maybe it was because I felt he was far more distinguishing and fleshed out.

Oh yeah!! I know Karla's not a fan,but I loved the Sword of Truth series..lots of villians male & female here. I really must finish up the series. There use to be some hot pictures of Darken Rahl on the website but no more..wave your magic wand and give me one?:)

Lol, I loved that series..but overall, the first handful of books moreso than the latter. I'm a great understudy of Goodkind's philosophies. Great man--couldn't respect one more..well, 'cept for maybe Robert Jordan. I find there are little who can attest to Jordan's incomparably original style and creative outlet. Medieval Fantasy is my vice!

Given the annoying character stack, I can see why many would find fault with the series; I only, truly--ever championed a slight few..and they were the questionable ones.

Darken Rahl
Shota
Cara
Zedd

I was tryin' to dig up a rendition of Darken Rahl from the book, but the shittastic pictures of Darken Rahl from the show, were flooding the engines. I watched only one episode, and shrank away indignantly. Whilst I adore the actor, the tv series ripped the book seven ways of Sunday. No thanks!

I used to have a couple, I'll go into research mode. Lol

IF a realistic view of Darken Rahl could be used, it would be his LotR's version, because his long blonde hair.

These are only acceptable to me, with blonde hair though. I shudder to think of the inaccuracy they contrived to sell for public interest. -.- When I discovered that Darken Rahl was Richard's BROTHER in the tv show....I flung the remote, and turned off the tv immediately. WHAT????? It has about the tangibility to the novels, as Xena does to Mythology. >.<

Too bad Ive seen the one with Rahl with long black hair,if I find it III let you know where. I will never watch the movies after reading the books...not the same and dont want to spoil the vision I have of things.

Darken Rahl had almost white/blonde locks in the novels. I actually used these, that weren't associated with the tv series--but he was dark haired in the series, that further annoyed me. >:O Lol

Was the show The Legend of the Seeker? I watched an episode and said WTF after I found out that it was based on the Goodkind books. But I kept watching it for the patented Xena/Herc lulz (same team created this one).

YES, Karla.. that's why I blackened it from my viewer list. lol They got this sort of tv-only bunch in full riot gear, "SAVE THE SEEKER" after show was cancelled after two seasons. LOL Goodkind wrote on his blog/site, that he had never been contacted for script/actor/story participation. >.<

Tessa of Destiny had a bad guy who kept leaping in and out of the story whenever the authors wanted Tessa to pick up her skirts and run to another country. He would literally dash into a scene and say something along the lines of, "Now I have you! You are mine!" and then she'd escape again.

I didn't go all umph umph over him, but his moustache-twirling gaslight villain antics were the most amusing thing about the book. :D
