Who do you think should direct "Catching Fire"?

Helen Stevens This article suggests 9 directors...I think Alfonso Cuaron would be my pick of these. Although I'd be interested to see what someone like Kathryn Bigelow would do with it. Duncan Jones and Joe Wright would both be good choices too. NOT David Slade though. His Eclipse was extremely flat.

Outside of this article, it would rock my face off if Joss Whedon was offered the job. He excels at kick-ass female protagonists *grin*

Anika NO! No! No! Gary Ross did an AWESOME JOB. WHy oh why is he leaving?!?! I say make him stay! lol

H Freeman Gary Ross is not out of the running yet...

Anika Okay good!

Helen Stevens First he was leaving, then he wasn't. Who knows!! I hope he does stay, I really liked his style in THG.

Whitney The same person or it would be weird.

Sinead Katherine Bigalowe comes to mind the most. Hurt Locker was amazing and in some sense I can see the transition to Catching Fire as being easy for her. If she does not direct Catching Fire I want her to direct MockingJay for sure. Also, I just want a chick director, female perspective goes a long way.

Charlotte He has officially confirmed that he is leaving

Danielle Neldon While I doubt it would ever happen, Joss Whedon would be amazing. He does a great job with powerful women and so far everything I've seen of The Avengers looks amazing so he could pull off the action really well.

I wish Gary Ross was going to do CF, but he's officially not so... Um... When I first read the books, I thought Tim Burton, but now I say NO WAY to that one. Hmmm.. Not sure who I would pick. James Cameron is the only other famous director that I can think of and I'm not sure whether he would work well with this. :p

Amanda (Gale's Chosen One) Potter Alfonso Cuaron is my pick.
I'm familiar with his work and he already has had experience directing movies based on a novel and he did very well. I think he'll know what do and i think he'd do amazing.
