I'm always up for it if someone wants to review my books. :) The only caveat I have is that it has to be an active blog with sensible traffic.Or for guest blogs and the occasional giveaway. :)
Wow, awesome folder. Thanks for creating it Jenny!I'd love a blogger to check out my urban fantasy/romance Morningstar. Morningstar
I'm fine with giveaways, contests, etc as well. Shoot me a message on goodreads and I'll hook you up with a copy. I also have a sci-fi series out there if anyone is interested in that. Thanks!
I would love to connect with bloggers. Anyone interested in paranormal romance and/or urban fantasy, let me know. My books tend to be lights on and in full glory so anyone preferring lights off and closed doors might be better served skipping them. :)Stone Lover

I'm an author who would love to connect with bloggers. My Alaskan Paranormal books are at 30 of 30 5-star reviews, collectively, on Amazon (21 for Alaskan Fire, 9 for the latest [released March 27th, 2012], Alaskan Fury). I have a dozen other books going up over the next couple years and have quite a following building on Facebook. My next freebie giveaway is going up on the 14th. Would love to work with you! :)email me at kingnovel@gmail.com or friend me at www.facebook.com/kingfiction

Great Idea Jenny, I'm always happy to help promote authors on my blog. Though I'm closed to reviews, I have openings for guest post, interviews, giveaways and excerpts. http://seeingnight.blogspot.com
I am so thankful for this!My coauthor and I are always on the look out for bloggers willing to review or participate in blog tours. We screen blogs before giving books away for review, but guest posts and interviews are always welcome.
Our books:
I have my book, After The Virus, a post-apocalyptic love story, available now for reviews ... I am bring out a new cover, and slightly edited text for the print version in June.I am also launching a new fantasy/paranormal series in mid-May beginning with my book Spirit Binder and it's sequel the YA, Time Walker. I was hoping to organize a blog tour to promote it as well.
You can find more info about me (and my writing, etc) over at my blog: http://www.madebymeghan.ca
I would be happy to do interviews or giveaways (especially to promote the print version of After The Virus in June), but would be also very happy with more reviews.
I can make the new novel available as an ARC at the beginning of May as well.
Thanks all!
Meghan

Is it better protocol for authors to contact book review bloggers about interviews, etc., than the other way around? I'm so overwhelmed by all the social media sites that it confuses me on how to proceed! ;)
Celine wrote: "Is it better protocol for authors to contact book review bloggers about interviews, etc., than the other way around? A YA writer is not going to want their book on a blog that highlights erotica, however if a blogger is interested enough to reach out to the author, sometimes that's just as valuable because the blogger is more likely to write a good review if they're already interested than if the author contacts them out of the blue.
Yeah, that's my take on it, Elizabeth. If an author out of the blue is out asking for book reviews/interviews all the time, he/she comes across as "desperate". I don't want to be thought of as "desperate" by anyone, but in the last decade, the number of online book review sites/blogs has soared but the number of actual decent reviews I've received has dwindled. My publishers are more willing to provide review copies to legit sites, but none are biting it seems. I understand there is a glut of "free ebooks" out there now. Does that explain it? Are the reviewers being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of books in the marketplace?
Celine wrote: "Yeah, that's my take on it, Elizabeth. If an author out of the blue is out asking for book reviews/interviews all the time, he/she comes across as "desperate". I don't want to be thought of as "des..."Possibly, and the better review sites are backlogged. There's also people who will only review paperbacks because they don't want to sit at the computer when they read and the blogs they run have the traffic that they can get away with it.
I've never tried out of the blue asking for reviews (mind you our book just launched in March). We were "trained" if you will to run promotions and blog tours to make the reviews time sensitive and part of an event. While my coauthor and I do take reviews upon request, we're more likely to accept books as part of a blog tour, especially a publicized one for a couple of reasons.
1. If it's part of a blog tour, the chance of the author promoting your blog and driving traffic to your site is higher than an unrelated review request
2. There's work that goes into blog tours. An author willing to work to put a blog tour together, have a good cover, design graphics, etc. is more likely to have spent time and money developing the book as opposed to someone who woke up one day and decided they wanted to be an author.
3. Sometimes there are incentives. When we ran our blog tour, we had gift cards that we gave away to high traffic blogs and a random commenter to encourage engagement. That also ties into 2, because if you're spending money rather than just asking for a free review, there's an assumption (at least for me) that you spent money on the book as well.
Hey! I happened to notice your last three threads and I thought I would chime in. I organize blog tours, so if you have any questions regarding what is involved please feel free to message me.
I've never done a "blog tour" but I have done a "blog hop" and it was fun I thought. It just seems the playing field as changed a lot online since 1999 when I sold my first book.

Hey all!I'm new to the scene, but I have several paranormal romance, urban fantasy, and YA books just released. I've sent out a lot of queries to bloggers, but haven't had many responses. If anyone at all is interested in reading/reviewing my books, I'd be more than happy to gift some copies or participate in any blog hops/tours/giveaways. Email me at author@cmstunich.com or message me! I'm also on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/cmstunich. Thanks for reading this and I appreciate any responses! You guys are great. =)

the review site i blog at is always accepting review requests... http://guiltyindulgencebookclub.blogs...... click the review requests tab for details. we have seven reviewers who specialize on romance from YA to Erotica.
Hi, I've found several Romance/Paranormal Romance review sites for my latest release Finding Gaia, but it also skews to the nerdy/science side with an environmentalist subtheme. So if anyone out there has a blog that includes book reviews and has a theme of geek/nerd culture (particularly geek girl blogs), environmental activism, or eco-friendly living, please let me know!
Mitzi wrote: "http://www.booksinsync.com/mitzibookr... I review anything except for hard scifi."I think you should tell people up front that you only provide reviews for a fee. It would be a little cleaner that way.
Try the ParaYourNormal blog. They're on summer break but will be taking review requests again in August or September, I think. http://parayournormal.blogspot.com/p/...Kirsten Weiss
