Nikyta | 4 comments For Gom's Sake and Undercover Assignment are combined as the same book but one is the adult version and one is the YA version. Should these two really be combined? I saw a post from last year asking that question (http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/5...) but it doesn't seem like anything was answered. I really think the two should be separated, though, because they cater to two separate audiences. I was going to separate them myself but Experiment BL626 posted this note under both editions "Please do NOT separate For Gom's Sake from Undercover Assignment, they are the same story. For Gom's Sake is the Adult Edition with sexual content, Undercover Assignment is the Young Adult edition without sexual content. Any changes to the combination of these editions MUST be requested at the official Goodreads Librarian Group. Failure to comply will have you reported."

I honestly think they should be separated not just because one is adult and one is YA but they have two different titles, two different covers and are from two different publishers. Even though Featherweight is an extension of MLR Press. Thoughts?

Both of those are completely irrelevant.

The content is. It sounds like that's mostly the same, though.

Nikyta | 4 comments They do have the same content except one is going to have sex while the other won't.

There's also the fact that they have different ISBNs. Not just for the ebooks but prints as well.

So what? UK and American editions of identical books will also have different publishers, different ISBNs, and often different titles.

Nikyta | 4 comments This isn't UK and American editions, though. And they aren't identical books. When you go into a bookstore like Barnes & Nobles are you going to see the UK and American version of a book? No, at least I've never seen that. But when you go into a book store for For Gom's Sake and Undercover Assignment would you see both editions? Yes because one is an adult version and one is YA. Don't you think it's a bit misleading to have them both under one book page?

Cait (tigercait) | 4988 comments We combine abridged books with their unabridged versions. How is this anything but a very specific abridgment?

No. Especially since a librarian has already clearly marked the respective editions.

Then that answers that then doesn't it?
