Meredith (mcgraced) | 84 comments Lately I've been noticing book entries where all variations of an author's name are included as an author. Ex: D.L. Thomas, Dana Lee Thomas, and Dana Thomas are all listed as authors of "Living Biographies of Great Scientists"

It was my understanding that only one spelling/variation was wanted, but it's been popping up so much I've been wondering if I was incorrect about that. I tried looking around a bit in the manual and threads, but didn't see an explicit answer.

Thank you!

Looks like those are coming from some of our imports. I'm cleaning that one up, but you are correct that it is not policy to have more than one spelling (except in cases of foreign variations or pseudonyms) of an author's name on a given book.

Ah, that explains why I've seen it in greater abundance lately. I'll continue to clean those up as I find them.

thank you
