Hi. I'm a new member here. you're discussions are very interesting. I'm reading Die for Me, The Iron King and August at the same time. But it's the summer holidays so I have a lot of free time on my hands. So I hope to get a lot of recommendations. And because of my birthday tomorrow, my parents know what the're getting me! LOTS AND LOTS OF BOOKS!
all these new people :) Em, Danette and Jennifer it is so lovely to meet you! I am always happy to give book recomendations...all you have to do is pick a genre and i can produce a list (i tend to read all genres). xI have just finished reading 'the wishing stone' by Terry Tyler & would recomend it to older readers x

I'm new and not reading any of the books y'all are discussing here soo...I'm currently rereading the Mortal Instruments series so I'm not confused when I read the latest one,City Of Lost Souls.
I love The Hunger Games. Like, die hard fan. I even have a devoted Twitter account for it so let me know if you like THG and have a Twitter:)
I also REALLY love The Vampire Academy series as well as the Spin off, Bloodlines.
Percy Jackson's good, Beautiful Creatures is good(Yet I need to get better at getting a hold of the books), Matched yet I need to read the second book, Firelight yet I need to read the second book but yeah.
I'm a teen so YA all the way but I'm also in school so it's hard

Vampire Academy/Bloodlines is one of my favorite series of all time!!!!!!!!

*laughs* I didn't know there was a limit!! Hehe but I look forward to talking books with you :)
Goodreads is such a fantastic site where one is able to converse with so many likeminded people ~ including getting in touch with authors, whom you wouldn't be able to if not (a real treat!!) and also making lots of friends.
Of course!! And Lucinda's very right! Goodreads is such a great place to be able to freely discuss books and completely fangirl over them :)

I'm really not sure ... what do you have in mind? / what genres do you prefer?
I was just scrolling through your TBR shelf and these are ones I am very interested about.
- Name of the Wind
- Uglies
- The Scorpio Races
- I am the Messenger
- Grave Mercy
- Splintered
- Unwind
- Ender's Game
- 1984
- More Than This
- Eleanor and Park
- On the jellicoe road
- Let it Snow

Okay! :D Those are all really good sounding! I'd rather read any of the choices from (and including) Uglies to Ender's Game. Take your pick :)
Cool!! What genre are you thinking? Or any specfic book in mind? I compared our books and we have a few we both haven't read, though I'm cool with re-reading one. Or whatever:)

I have The Princess Bride, Great Expectations, and Romeo and Juliet (from both our to-read shelves) lying somewhere around the house, but I could probably get a hold of any book. Do you have any specific books in mind? I'm also up for re-reading :D

All right! Hmmm. Possibly The Princess Bride? Otherwise, I'd love to re-read The Blue Castle or The Book of Three or Sorcery & Cecelia: or The Enchanted Chocolate Pot ooor (not a re-read) Foundling.
Anything strike your fancy?
