Same here! There are so many things to do but all I want to do is read! I went to Barnes and Noble yesterday and got 6 new books!!! AAAHHHHH

Same here! I can't help it honestly! But it's hard to go only twice a month because I love to be in a bookstore almost more than anything!

I'm oh-so-very new to this group and am trying to just wiggle my way in through as many interesting topics as I can tonight. I hope to meet some wonderful new friends and get introduced to even more great books!I'm currently reading a book called Animal Dreams by Barbara Kingsolver, as recommended to me by a bookworm whose tastes I highly enjoy.
Then, I'm contemplating diving head first into the Games of Thrones series that I keep hearing raves about. Has anyone else here read any of those books?

P.S- I LOVE George RR Martin's series 'a song of ice and fire' with book 1 'a game of thrones'!! It is increadible and i also love the television series on Sky HD channel too.
I am a huge fan of fantasy fiction and this particular genre, and so his works are at the top of my list!! :) x

I've just started the book "Song of Ice and FIre" and it is incredible thus far...though long, it has that Lord of the Rings/fairytale characteristic of being thoroughly detailed and a vivid fantasy world that you can easily imagine without much thought - a definite must read!
Thanks for joining the group and I know the feeling of going through all the topics...I do it all the time! I think some of the opinions fellow bookworms give are so creative and they make me think twice!

My brother read it and he loved it - he's not a big fan of reading and he managed to read it pretty quickly, so to me this is a great reference! To me this says a lot; if George RR Martin's book managed to captivate a person like my brother, I'll probably love it too.
Lucinda and Booknut, well you've pretty much sealed the deal for me starting the George R.R. Martin books! I can't believe I didn't see your comments much sooner, my apologies for somehow missing this thread. I will likely be hunting you two down, once I start, to squeal and delight in the magnificent writing! Ana, that is actually one of the reasons I started to pay attention to the series. A friend of mine, who rarely reads at all, has read 4 of the books already and just can't stop talking about how much he enjoys them. Do you have a copy of the book already? If so, we ought to start reading them and discussing if they're as good as we keep hearing! :)

I consider myself a pretty eclectic reader...ill try most all genres but my favorites and comfort genres are fantasy, romance, young adult and historical fiction. So far everyone in this group has been very nice and helpful! :-)

I just finished the mortal instruments and am about to start infernal devices...glad to hear infernal devices is just as good!! I really enjoyed mortal instruments and cant wait for the next book!

I'm curious about the TV adaptation of the books but at the same time a bit scared of being disappointed by it; have you guys seen the show? Is it as good as the books?

I've read all of that series but the newest one! It was weird reading from a guy's perspective but they're really good :D
