message 2953: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6871 comments Yes 165 books is my challenge.
What is your favourite genre?

message 2954: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4427 comments Contemporary/mystery thriller/aww. That's cheating, I guess. Hard to answer succinctly!

Do you have a book reading quirk?

message 2955: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4427 comments Well I'm asking silly questions as no one answers them!

One of mine is that I am a bit ocd when it comes to choosing my next one.. I seem to make it all a bit harder than it needs to be ;)

What book have you read that may be a little controversial?

message 2956: by Tarmia (new)

Tarmia | 221 comments I suppose the book that I have read that is considered the most controversial is Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. But my favourite 'controversial' book I have read was definitely Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. I loved it, and although I know WHY I still find it hard to actually internalise why it is considered controversial.

Is there a popular book that a lot of people like that you do not?

Gone Girl

Same question

message 2958: by Chloe (last edited Feb 11, 2017 02:16AM) (new)

Chloe | 182 comments OK, I'll answer your questions, Suzanne!!

A book reading quirk: ummmmm .... I don't think I have one unless the counts as one: I have to have AT LEAST 2 books ready to read or I make an emergency trip to the library. I really don't know what I'd do if I didn't have one ready to go when I finished the last one! Panic maybe?? LOL

A controversial book? I can't think of anything controversial that I have read.

EDITED TO ADD: Oops, I must not have refreshed - I missed some comments!

So, to answer Brenda's question: The Girl with All the Gifts
