From Mount Gambier in SA to home, Newcastle NSW. Approximately 1350 klms and around 15 hours driving (without breaks!) But of course we did have breaks!

Do you like driving long distances?

message 2903: by Elias (new)

Elias Zanbaka | 862 comments Yes! My brother and I are planning a road trip soon.

How many states in Australia have you been to?

message 2904: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

What subject do you wish you were taught in high school?"

Computers! Like what we have today!

To my credit, and, as it turns out, a handy skill, I took typing!! If you can believe that!!

Learning the www, at the very least, has taken me longer than I care to remember!

Nowadays, kids learn this in preschool!

message 2913: by Elias (new)

Elias Zanbaka | 862 comments Even though I don't hate the film, I thought Francois Truffaut's adaptation of Fahrenheit 451 didn't quite embrace the potential of the source material from which it had to work from.

Favourite TV/film adaptation.

Tarmia | 221 comments Susan wrote: "I've never turned down a fruit mince pie.

My family puts up a small artificial Christmas tree. When I was younger it was a real one. We'd brought it as a baby and just let it grow (in a pot of cause) so that we had the 'same' tree for many years.

message 2937: by Tarmia (new)

Tarmia | 221 comments Crime and Punishment. I really want to read this book because I've been enjoying Russian literature lately however just can't seem to find any motivation to start.

What is your guilty pleasure read? A you've read lately and realise it's not that good but loved anyhow?

message 2938: by Elias (new)

Elias Zanbaka | 862 comments I don't really think of books I enjoy as being guilty pleasures. There's no real guilt if I've enjoyed something that others might deem bad. If I enjoy something, then I enjoy it and if I don't, I don't. I can't really be objective about it.

Have you ever met your or someone else's lookalike?

message 2939: by Susan (new)
