Can you stop reading a book you don't enjoy or do you need yourself and finish it off?

message 2552: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments I rarely quit but will. I will put aside and go back though and /or read another at the same time.

Latest time you read outside your normal genre.. Were you surprised by it and enjoyed it, or dislike it like you assumed you would?

message 2553: by Susan (last edited Dec 13, 2015 04:48PM) (new)

Susan (goodreadscomsusanaustralia) | 452 comments The last book I read outside my normal genre was The Fairy Wren, which is much lighter than my usual fare. I enjoyed it a great deal.

Do you enjoy reading books which require you to suspend your disbelief, or do you prefer realism?

message 2554: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Realism, I'm quite bad with genres that require a good imagination. I don't read sci fi, vampires etc etc.

Favourite time of the day to read?
