message 2507: by Neko (new)

Do you wish you could of grown up in a different country from the one you did?

message 2508: by Susan (new)

Same question as Suzanne, above: What is the greatest distraction to your reading?

Are you looking forward to any new book releases?

message 2512: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Newest one to me is After You.

What do you like to read that is non-book? ie. mags, journals, newspapers..

message 2513: by Neko (new)

Neko Comics and magazines..But I find it hard to buy magazines because they cost so much these days. And comics are expensive as well but I can justify those easier.

Ever been in a bushfire before?

message 2514: by Susan (new)

Do you keep up to date with TV trends?

message 2518: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments No! Very very bad with that stuff.

What don't you keep up to date with?

message 2519: by Neko (new)

Neko Movies...I'm so far behind it's really bad. I've tried to catch up but it never works.

Do you try and keep up with general trends?

message 2520: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments I love annoying people by staying far away. My kids especially. Ie. Tv, FB, Instagram. Football. Boring? No, but they think I am.

Name your favourite quirk.

message 2521: by Neko (new)

Neko (Must admit mine is Instagram but I use it for certain beer tracking..lol...Otherwise...I am the same...People are shocked when they learn I don't use FB...SO here/hear! I don't think you're boring)

If you can count it as a quirk...I find I get lots of coincidences. Like today a person I work with talked about death masks and I was like 'Oh yeah I read about those in my novel last week'...I'd never heard of them until the book and never really expected to hear someone mention them so SOON and then BAM it happens.
Coincidences have been happening a lot lately..It's been a bit strange...Then again..I wonder why.

Do you believe in a set course in life and if you can/don't explain why?

message 2522: by Susan (new)

Susan (goodreadscomsusanaustralia) | 452 comments I believe we can change our destinies, but not as much as we'd like to.

message 2528: by Susan (new)

Susan (goodreadscomsusanaustralia) | 452 comments I usually plan to read something a bit lighter when I'm on holiday.

Do you shop online a lot?

message 2529: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Fairly often, no so much lately as I've decided I've got too much 'stuff'. Now is mostly books, and kids sporting things.

Reading or watching footy AFL.

Suz | 4428 comments Zero.

What do you miss from your childhood?

message 2541: by Neko (last edited Nov 20, 2015 01:34AM) (new)

Neko Living in a life of make believe and thinking it was real...As in creating a world with friends and just living it.....There is such an innocence about it that as adults it seems to be beaten out of us..And for those who still believe in it have to hide (or use it as an artistic way).

"Suzanne - Naw!! You can enjoy ciders :) I like those too just not as much.

And I will answer your question as I don't think Dale did (due to timing)...I am always studing...I did some today for work..Always on the go to expand and learn....It's the fruit of life.

Do you see the point in giving gifts or do you find them annoying?

message 2542: by Suz (last edited Nov 20, 2015 03:10AM) (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Love this question. Very topical to me. I love giving. I don't love giving at Christmas where it's just plain 'because I have to'. It also reiterates what a waste of money my in laws spend and I hate coming home with a bunch of age/personality inappropriate 'stuff' to put it nicely. They should give Oxfam vouchers.

What do you like to eat when it's super hot?

message 2543: by Neko (new)

message 2545: by Neko (new)

Neko Sometimes I will but most often I don't know except it's usually from my already bought books and nothing brand new.
