I'd be a male bird, since they look more fancy. Probably an exotic green parrot, so I could pose artistically in trees with pink blossoms.

What kind of cat would you be?

message 2256: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments I'm a bit anti cats (for me) they make me sneeze. But I'd say a friendly one lol

Do you think listening to an audiobook "counts" as having read the book?

message 2270: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

What do you do with your read hardcopy books?

message 2275: by Susan (new)

Susan (goodreadscomsusanaustralia) | 452 comments I usually keep them on the shelf — I may want to re-read or refer to them.

Are you running out of (physical) bookshelf space?

message 2276: by Suz (last edited Jul 23, 2015 02:15PM) (new)

Suz | 4428 comments In the worst way. My shelf is not a proper bookshelf and is an ikea display one. I have a pile 3 deep and over one metre high in the space next to the wall. My son was pointing out the ridiculousness of it just last night. Oh well!

Do you have any book obsessions/ocd traits?!

message 2277: by Noelene (new)

Noelene | 364 comments When buying second hand books from Vinnies etc cannot touch a book/ or buy a book that has foxing.
Books are arranged from least amount of pages, and font size, then genre alternating if possible.
Just rearranged the book shelf because of a challenge but it is annoying me and will have to go back and rearrange the usual way and just pull the books off the shelf as I want to read it. Also try to keep the amount of books I want to read to only one book shelf. Books to give away stored on another shelf if going to friends first and others immediately go in the charity pile to leave the house during the week.

message 2278: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Love those traits! What's your question Noelene?

message 2279: by Noelene (new)

Noelene | 364 comments Sorry I forgot the question. In a rush as the carpet layers were about to arrive.

Neko Yes! She is one of my favourite authors and I never got around to finishing the book sooo I am looking forward to actually finishing it this time round.

Do you try to set goals within your own mind as to how long a book should take to be read?

message 2291: by Suz (last edited Aug 02, 2015 11:50PM) (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Yes, made worse by the silly GR reading challenge!

Does the amount of books on your shelf, be it physical or ebooks, give you angst?!

message 2292: by Noelene (new)

Noelene | 364 comments Yes. When there are not enough books on the shelf to choose from - particularly if the ones left are all of the same genre and I am sick of that genre. Also I limit my self to one shelf only in a particular bookcase and if the books don't fit I have to read the thinnest ones first to allow more books to come into the house. I have this rule - one book in and one book out.

Do you read the book first or watch the movie first?

message 2293: by Neko (new)

Neko Usually the book will be read then i won't watch the movie...lol
