message 1675: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6883 comments 100 foot journey. Second time I had seen it but DH hadn't. We both enjoyed it.
What disappoints you?

message 1676: by K (last edited Feb 23, 2015 04:14PM) (new)

K | 1143 comments Too many things disappoint me: Peoples' bad work ethic (Because I am a hard worker, so I expect everyone else to be, too); Humans' generally crappy treatment of animals and the environment; Breed Specific Legislation; How selfish most people are- especially the youths of today; not following my gut when it tells me not to trust somebody, I try to see the good in them and then my first gut feeling turns out to be true; my bosses... I basically need to learn to stop worrying so much about things and just get back to enjoying life. Lol.

What makes you happy?

message 1677: by K (last edited Feb 23, 2015 04:33PM) (new)

K | 1143 comments Music, DVDs, earrings, magnets from wherever I travel and Pop Culture stuff. That's pretty much it, nowadays, though I still have my Action figure collection, I haven't added to it in a while. I would love to 'collect' more pets, but I need a hobby farm. Lol.

Have you ever volunteered for any charity? If so, which one and why?

I wish I hadn't missed out on these TV show questions. TV series are my passion!!! :(

message 1679: by Dale (new)

Dale Harcombe | 6883 comments Unfortunately, Michael,I had expected Castle to be back on on Sunday night as the TV guide said. But last night when I went to watch the taped show , it was Resurrection. Very disappointed.
Maybe one us is will re-post that question later for you to answer Michael.

K | 1143 comments 'Michael'? ...Kiera...

message 1681: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Not a lot of physical volunteering from me, mostly Salvo/Red Cross donations, I'm happy to give whenever there's a collection (or book/clothing/toy donation!)

Ok Kiera, tv question.. Best Australian show of all time?

message 1682: by David (new)

David Menon (wwwgoodreadscomdavidmenon) I don't volunteer anymore - i just don't have the time -but I contribute financially to the causes that are important to me.

Best Australian TV show of all time? You know, I still love 'Neighbours' and 'Home and Away' - I think they're good shows and 'Neighbours' especially has been brave with the whole Chris/Nate storyline which i personally have loved. I also have a soft spot for 'Sons and Daughters', 'Prisoner', 'The Flying Doctors', 'Blue Heelers'. But I'll bet there are some great Australian shows that we don't get in the UK?

message 1683: by Ryan (new)

Ryan There are.

Do you prefer shelves or windows?

Ugh! You know what? I don't care. I'm just going to answer yours anyway as well as David's
Suzanne, two of my favourite Aussie TV shows of all time: the Man From Snowy River and Rake.
David, I love curtains the most, because there are endless patterns and colours you can buy to accompany the rest of the room. There are these beautiful powder blue hummingbird ones on Next website I'd LOVE to have if I owned my own house.
If you could paint a room ANY colour, what would you choose?

I prefer blinds because they open up a room - curtains can take too much space from it. If I could paint a room any colour? It would be white because then I could put whatever I liked on the walls and it wouldn't clash. House or a flat if you could choose?

Favourite singer is Stevie Nicks. I call her the 'voice of my inner world' because her poetry touches me so much.
After that it would be Neil Finn and Billy Joel because of their ability to write such great stories in their lyrics, just like Stevie does.
