What's a funny/annoying/silly thing your family does?

message 1304: by K (new)

K | 1143 comments My family can sadly be quite bigoted and it makes me angry, because one the most important things to me is equality and I think that we should all accept and celebrate each other's differences. I get pretty angry at them these days.

What issues are important to you?

message 1305: by Vicki (new)

Vicki Tyley (vickityley) | 1732 comments The environment, green energy, racism, discrimination, marriage equality, justice... and many more.

Same question: What issues are important to you?

message 1306: by K (new)

K | 1143 comments They are the same as your's Vicki. One more I also care about is Breed Specific Legislation. I don't believe that banning dog breeds is the answer to stopping bites and attacks. Rather, education is. I wish governments would stop targeting the poor pit bull type breeds- or any dog that they think looks like a Pit. I have met many Pits in my life who were the most beautiful dogs you could ever meet.

A fear of flying. A workmate's husband is into alternative medicines and treatments. He taught me a mind calming technique along with doing some tapping technique called EFT. Was extremely skeptical but went from needing Valium to getting on a plane to actually laughing and sharing a joke with my husband.

Other than reading what hobby do you do?

message 1347: by Suz (new)

Suz | 4428 comments Not a spelling thing but a recurring childhood thing. When I write down the word milk I always leave out the letter 'l' and have to fix it every time. Weird.

How often do you sit down or lay down to read and you end up here on GR instead?

I do that (not with Milk) but I fall into a pattern. I used to work for IBM and Bank with IMB and found it impossible to write the bank down without jumbling the letters. And there are other; but than I match peg on the clothes line as well. - Erin
