For me it's the House of Night hands down

An enjoyable book once you get past a maladroit opening. I was in the mood for a light supernatural romance and after reading the first few chapters of this I almost threw it back. The author P.C. Cast teaches a writing class so she should have known better, but maybe she couldn't resist. She threw in so many pop-culture references and the first few chapters had so many convoluted embellishments that I almost lost patience and gave up. But after the first 50 pages, this got much better.

The worst book I read recently was Pastoral by Lorena Manuel I couldn't finish it though I tried a number of times. The story was dull, inorganic and just plain badly written

House of night. It just threw everything in there: vampire, magic, religion, goddesses, angels. The love octagon(?) was soooooo freaking confusing. And I hated the main character Zoey

i love the house of night books!!! worst book would proberly be The Time Of My Life! I couldnt stand it!

Maradonia and The Seven Bridges

I agree with Liz, the House of Night books are horrendous and yet I like them anyway.

I guess the absolute worst book I have read lately was The Ruined City by Paula Brandon. I just cant get into that book!

This one. The writing style is just awful.

For me the fact that the House of Night series is 9 books all of which have the same bad guy. I couldnt tell you what happened in each because 9 books could have taken up 2 in actual serious events. You know so little about the characters that you dont cry when the main characters do.

For me it has to be Stephine Meyer's 'Host'... I just couldn't understand any of it.

I would have to say Bitter frost books by Kailin Gow. It's way to fast and jumpy. It's just a spin off of the Iron Fey books by Jule Kagawa. I love the Iron Fey and will reread them all the time! that is just how I feel...

Well I have to say I don't really like Anne Rice it too slow and describing is good but she goes way in too much detail. Couldn't finish it all.

The parts of the first 'Eragon' book I actually read (I couldn't continue, it was just too stupid).
Since then I got cautious about what I'm reading.

Also, The Magic Flute. Hands down, this is full of sexism. Even if that was normal for the period it was written in, it still doesn't excuse the braindead female characters (except for Pamina's mother).

Fifty shades of grey! Read a bit of it online, Its disgusting! Horrible! Worst book EVER! Do not read it!

I like the house of night books. i don't like Zoey or Erik. The worst book i ever read was nightworld by maureen noel. My big brother bought it for me on my kindle. I tryed to read it! its just so stupid. i lied to my brother and said i finsh and i liked it. I didn't have the heart to tell him i didn't like it. i stoped at 26%. oh well i tryed sorry bub.

House of Night and the second Twilight. But House of Night was probably worst of the 2. The main character is a mighty hypocrite and has double standards. I can't remember to which book in the series my book club got but I am pretty sure she was still calling some other girl a slut and a whore and a bitch for doing the same things she herself was doing.

And the writing was horrid.

Graceling. Don't bother reading it.

Ash by Malinda Lo. HATE that book.

The Clique. It was utterly stupid. Fury was just as bad.

I think the worst book I read was Witch and Wizard (never read a Sarah Dessen, not much for cliche romance books) but I also can't stand everything you need to survive the apocalypse and matched. Those are my least favorite books.

house of night is def one of the worst books ive read. i only read 2 of them and then gave up. it was just awful for me.

I can think of some truly abysmal books out there, but as to the worst book I've actually gotten all the way through (as opposed to throwing it against the wall in disgust), it's nearly a tie between Twilight and Rhapsody: Child of Blood. Nearly because as awful as it was, Rhapsody at least had some half-way decent world building to recommend it; Twilight is just completely craptastical. Still, you couldn't pay me to reread either of them.

(I suppose I should mention that the House of Night series is a guilty pleasure for me. I know it's not good and yet I like to read it.)

I liked the House of Night series athough i agree the writing could have been better.I felt that the characters were kinda weak too but it was NOT the worst book.
For me the worst book probably was Evermore.

Worst book i have ever read and owned is Tyme's End by B.R.Collins. Just Don't Read it.

Angel's Blood...ugh...so, so, bad. Also, I agree with the Fallen series. I could not handle it. I gave up after the 2nd book. I was hoping it would get better with the 2nd but no such luck.

i really did like the house of night series..but i just wish that they would end it!!! umm probably bluemoon (sequel to evermore)

I agree about Fallen being pretty awful, but I stuck through the series and the 3rd book was pretty fantastic. The first time the filler book was way more interesting then the source material. A journey through history as the heroine is trying to discover the truth about true love? Sign me up. Given, it's probably going to go back to pathetic for the series climax, but Passion made it up to me:)

The Truth About Forever was an amazing book. I love Sarah Dessen's books. I started reading this series and the main character is very annoying. I only read it for school. Yes, probably worst series I have ever read... or the Fallen Series, (is that an actual sereies???) Reading books where the main character falls in love with a guy she meets within the first 50 pages of a book is super unrealistic. Didn't that happen in Fallen? Maybe not, considering I stopped reading it after 5o pages.

I read a book by Feehan that was confusing and lousy, luckily it was short (about 200 pages), and surprisingly I actually gave her Carpathian books a try and liked them. I also tried a book called Lord of The Beasts by Krinard. I actually gave up on it, it was that bad. Normally I'll trudge through and finish a book, but just couldn't with that one. Bevill has three book that I picked up for next to nothing. Amber Moon, Black Moon, Silver Moon. The first one is okay, the 2nd & 3rd are really bad.

Nope, I've got it. The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen is MUCH worse.

It was horrible...
