Joe Arnold | 5 comments Harry Potter was by far my favorite book/books growning up. I read them all like three times and never told any of my friends because they would of made fun of me. I think i liked finding out about Harry's past as the books go on. Jk rowling does such a good job of revealing bits and pieces as the series goes on.

Abby (abbyashcroft) | 10 comments I was really into teen angst kind of books. The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath and Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. Even though, often books like these did not have a definite path, I felt like they reached me in some way or another.

Anne (acoatar) | 9 comments I remember being in middle school and really loving Island of the Blue Dolphins. I can't remember the author or grade at which I read it! I think I'll have to reread it now that I'm thinking about it! As far as teenage YA lit, I enjoyed a Vampire series...I need to look up the name and post it. It had a heroine and was kinda racy. Probably why I like it so much.

Jennifer (jatalcott) | 11 comments I was really into The Babysitters Club Series. It dealt with alot of things I think younger readers can relate to and series is an easy read.

Laina (lpilkenton) | 9 comments For a while I was into the Goosebumps series, and I'm not really sure why. I think I just liked how suspenseful they were and that they centered around kids trying to get out of scary situations. Then Harry Potter hit and my literary world changed forever :)

Amanda (astahley3981) | 5 comments I read "The Secret of Platform 13" several times. That was the first book I remember ever wanting to read more than once. My junior and senior years though I was pretty crazy about Nicholas Sparks. I'm a big sap when it comes to romance, so his writing is just my style. Some of my favorites from him are "Dear John" "Message in a Bottle" and "A Bend in the Road."

Lauren Kramer | 7 comments The Lovely Bones, we actually read it for my English class in high school and I just remember how interesting the point of view was and how hurt the family became. It was one of those texts that you will never forget. The movie came out within the next couple of years which means that it had to be good enough for a movie production :)

I don't know that I can pick one. I read Harriet the Spy twice. I read Watership Down in 9th grade. The Great Brain books, Encyclopedia Brown, Two Minute Mysteries, Nancy Drew...I read constantly.

Oh my goodness! I LOVED Encyclopedia Brown!! I might have to find one to read for next week, it's been a long time!

Miaree | 6 comments I would have to say Wally Lamb's She's Come Undone. It is sad what the main character goes through, but at the end she finds her own happiness. Very powerful, but not your typical adolescent reading material.
