Answer My Question!
Hmm. I don't really know if I have an opinion on it. Sometimes I wear it and sometimes I don't. My grandma got me this Paris Amour perfume for Christmas and it smells really good and seems very me, so when I remember to put it on, I wear it.
Yours?

Not really. Sometimes I do in class, but I'm not much of an artist.

An Ode to the Poster
Written for 4/24/12
It’s a thin thing,
the poster that
hangs on my wall,
held up by only four tacks
(well, three,
because the one
in the bottom right corner
fell off years ago
and I never replaced it).
It was made,
I figure,
in a factory,
long sheets of
thick paper
rolled out and printed on
with a picture,
then covered with a layer
of glossy film
to secure the picture.
It’s an odd thing,
the larger-than-life image that
hangs on my wall.
Having a picture
of a person who I’ve never seen
and, unless life moves me
in a strange direction,
I never will see,
hanging on my wall
is nothing if not abnormal.
But it was created for a reason.
That poster
of Lebron James
that hangs behind my door
held by only three tacks
was intended to give boys hope.
It is a thin mirror
that reflects
what they wish they were.
Something to aspire to.
And for a while, it did just that.
But when you realize
that even though you practice
just as hard as the other boys
and sweat
and hurt,
you’re just never going to be as good,
you quit.
And you don’t come back.
Ever.
Even though your dad
would say something
like,
man, I wish you
were a sports fan
so we’d have something
to talk about
and I could watch you succeed in something.
Doesn’t he know
I wouldn’t succeed?
So now
the window
to another person
that was meant
to inspire
hangs by three tacks
in my room
behind my door
and glares at me
because it’s
just another
something
that I’ll
never be.
But I forgive it.
When they laid out that paper,
they didn’t know.
They knew there’d be boys
who would be inspired
to go outside and practice.
And there were,
but there aren’t anymore.
I could take it down.
If I wanted to.
But I don’t.
Why do you people make me post long poems here?
BECAUSE THEY ARE FANTASTIC! :D *applauds* Wow, I really like your poetry.
Have you ever been canoeing?
Have you ever been canoeing?

Yes. Ugh. My dad has a canoe and Fort Scott has the slowest moving river on the planet. Combine the two for the worst afternoons of your life.
If you could be a historical figure for a day, who would you be?
Hmm. SUSAN B. ANTHONY. Because I've been on a feminist kick for the past couple of days and organizing protests and getting carted to jail and things would be fun.
How do you feel about women's rights?
How do you feel about women's rights?
Bleeh. I think it's stupid most of the time. I mean, it's one thing if it's a classic series such as Nancy Drew or the Boxcar Children and the original author is dead and everyone knows they aren't being written by the original author anymore. That makes sense to me. But when the "author" takes the credit for something someone else wrote... yuck. What's the point of that?
If you had to kill one person who is alive right now, who would you kill?
If you had to kill one person who is alive right now, who would you kill?

Although I should probably use my one murder on some really super awful person who will kill the world instead of one really super awful person who makes bad movies.
If you could have a phone call with your grade school self, what would you say?

When was the last time you were sick?"
((I FREAKING LOVE THAT RESTARAUNT.))
Today it was most definitely Geometry. What's the last sentence you've written in a story/ poem you're working on?
I HAD A QUESTION. It wasn't showing up for some reason. IT'S THERE NOW. SO ANSWER IT.
Choir and band.
Choir and band.

Favorite thing to read about?

What is the last television program you watched?

"Life is a like a game. You take your chances and go for the win. But there is always a loser in games. The loser is the one that just isn’t as lucky, the one that doesn’t have the skill, the one that just isn’t good enough. And when it becomes clear to the loser that he or she is losing, then they will try to get out of the game as soon as possible.
In this game the loser is me."

If you were on a TV show, what'd it be called?

If you were a room in a house, what room would you be?

How many raccoons do you think you could take in a fight?

Twilight for sure. That was so freaking overrated. And Maximum Ride.
Who's your favorite singer from before the 70's?

Shortlist- my queens, The Venerables Piaf, Garland (and her accompanying musicals) and Dietrich (and her accompanying films, most of her early ones having at least one song) and also Jacques Brel, Helen Kane, Lucienne Boyer, Fréhel, Josephine Baker and Anita Ellis. I also love the songs in the Fred Astaire/Rita Hayworth films, but Rita was dubbed by aforementioned Ellis, so I don't know how much they count (either way, I think Fred/Rita had better chemistry/songs/dances/everything than Fred/Ginger).
Do you have a favourite instrumental composer?
