Nope. AJM for me. My parents almost had my middle name be my first name, so I had the potential to be JAM, but that didn't happen.

What is a book you have read at least three times without getting sick of it?

message 3302: by [deleted user] (new)

Every movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. In all honesty, I think the number of times I've seen some of them would amount to about fifty. And then you have the commentaries and appendices...

What's a song that always makes you sad?

message 3303: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (booksteainsanity) | 955 comments I agree about the LOTR movies. Those are da bomb.

A song that always makes me sad—well, not really sad, more depressed—is “Russian Roulette” by Rihanna. I mean, especially the ending.

What is the saddest movie you've ever seen?

message 3304: by [deleted user] (last edited Nov 12, 2012 02:16PM) (new)

Hard to say. LOTR might win this one as well, but the Dark Knight trilogy also has a knack for making me cry. I guess I just haven't seen many movies that are inherently sad.

What is one of your musical guilty pleasures?

message 3305: by [deleted user] (new)

9If that's your guilty pleasure, Holden, you haven't lived. ;D)

Tumblr. Hands down.

What is one thing you're procrastinating right now? And don't pretend you're not procrastinating. We all know the truth.

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
Uhhh I have mixed feelings. I liked the books back in like, eighth grade, but that was a while ago. It was before there was so much hype over them and stuff, and I liked them just because I thought they were fun. So, ehh. The movies are terrible though... but I go see them with my friends anyway just so we can make fun of them. YAAAY.

What time do you usually wake up in the morning?

message 3313: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments If somebody could find a GIF of a pooing cow, that would adequately express what I think of it.

Have you heard of the band Two Steps from Hell? If not, look them up. They are very writer-friendly with their music. If so, what is your favorite song?

message 3314: by Sum (new)

Sum | 846 comments Brigid: I have to wake up at like 6:30 for school. I take a long time in the mornings. On the weekends it's usually ten o'clock.
Timothy: I've never heard of them, but I'll check it out sometime.

Are you easily distracted?

message 3315: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I'm pretty easily--SQUIRREL.

I think I've seen Cake Boss a few times...and it was pretty legit.

How would you define "normal?"

message 3318: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Normal is the word idiots use to describe things that make them comfortable.

How would you define the concept of "God"?

message 3319: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments This is a tough question. For me, it would probably be the Mormon hymn "I Believe in Christ."

Are candies like Twix or Kit-Kat boring to you?

message 3320: by [deleted user] (new)

No. Most candy involving chocolate isn't boring to me.

What's something you want to do today?

What is/was your least favorite subject in school?

message 3322: by [deleted user] (last edited Nov 13, 2012 12:42PM) (new)

By the end of last year, I hated pretty much every class except Language Arts and Theatre. Math and Science might be the worst, though.

Seventeen.

What genre do you prefer to write?

message 3330: by [deleted user] (new)

Les Misérables, with The Hobbit just a few millimeters behind.

What's a book you love that you want to see someone make a film adaptation of? (Does it bother you that Maxy chooses prepositions as words to end sentences with?)

Anna and the French Kiss except I want to direct it, lol. (and no)

Do you like romantic movies?

message 3332: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently procrasting on anything?"

Not much. I could be writing more in my NaNo, but I've reached my target word count. I could be studying for my GED... maybe I should do that.

What's the farthest you've gotten in any story of your own?

message 3335: by Sum (new)

Sum | 846 comments I had to write a love story for English class last year, back when English class was fun. It was 45 pages in a standard word document, and I don't remember how many words. It may not be a lot, but I felt very accomplished after finishing it :)

Do you share your bedroom with someone?

message 3336: by [deleted user] (new)

That, sir, is an awesome question. Something by Guster for sure--maybe Eden or Demons. GAH THIS IS DIFFICULT. Let's see...

Guster - Eden
Incubus - Dig
Jules Morrow - Unlovable
Marina and the Diamonds - I Am Not A Robot
Ben Folds - The Luckiest

Guh, I don't know. There are so many others I'd want to do. Ahem.

What store do you visit very often?

message 3339: by Anastasia (new)

Anastasia (booksteainsanity) | 955 comments Costco. My parents always decide to go there at the most inopportune times. :(

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you go and why?

message 3340: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments COSTCO IS MAGICAL! Their muffins make my world go round.

I'd go to England. The scenery is awesome, and if you go to the right places, the people are amazing.

Who is your favorite actor/actress of your own gender?

message 3341: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe Sierra Boggess.

Who is your favorite actor of the gender you're attracted to (based on talent, not attractiveness ;D)?

message 3342: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments I don't really know. Natalie Portman, because she is in some of my favorite movies, I guess.

Why do you like movies?

message 3343: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments oh good grief where do I start

- the role of self-identification in films
- which somehow goes hand in hand with escapism through them
- bizarre intertitles taken out of context
- Marlene Dietrich
- other attractive actor-y types
- the role of film as art, i.e A REALLY IMPORTANT ONE
- and as a social medium because there's nothing that reaches as wide an audience
- IT TRANSCENDS LANGUAGE, i.e what literature doesn't
- can't say I "like" it but the construction of star image is really interesting

favourite actor of the same gender?

message 3344: by Aina (new)

Aina | 1 comments Gemma Arterton and Emma Stone.

What type of music do you like and why.

message 3345: by [deleted user] (new)

There are songs in every genre that I hate. Rap tends to grate on my nerves the most, just because I only ever hear the crappy, hurt-your-ears, women-are-objects-and-men-are-car-collecting-moneybags kind. But don't shoot me, rap-lovers. I know there is some good rap out there. I just don't hear about it as much.

Who is an artist (or band) you wish more people knew about?

Shreya=Drastically Random. Find the emoticon. | 1078 comments Cimorelli of course! I love them, but I was pretty mad when they lost the TCA's to Sophia Grace and Rosie.
