Do you like talking on the phone?"

(why aren't we texting yet?)

No, I don't play.

Favorite movie?

The Writer Leopard, obviously. :D

Last time you screamed at someone?

message 503: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Um... maybe? I... I'm a very emotional person. When I'm happy, I'm ecstatic. When I'm sad, I'm despondent. When I'm angry, I'm murderous. YAY FOR BEING CRAZY.

What are you currently reading?

message 504: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
A NERD. Someone who reads a lot and isn't afraid to act like a nerd in public... preferably a writer. Um... doesn't mind rambling. xD Doesn't mind my craziness. I don't really care much about the attractive level as they are smart. Someone who'll do cute ridiculous things with me for dates. Preferably a Nerdfighter... or at least someone I can corrupt into becoming one.

What fictional character would you want to date the most?

message 505: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
(TYPICAL GUY. *shakes head sadly* And you sort of screamed at the Jayhawks game! It was more like talking loudly, but that could sort of count. xD)

Hmm. Probably the Jayhawks game when I was at your house and they made that major comeback and won. ajdkslfa;lskdfj Or maybe the game before that when they also made a major comeback and won.
OH actually, it'd be a game my team played in tournament when we were ahead at half time because we SHUT THEM DOWN. (They're a much better team team than us so it was amazing.)

Are you more like your dad or your mom?

message 506: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
(GOOD POINT. I TAKE THE WHOLE "TYPICAL GUY" THING BACK.)

Right now, the Great Depression. I love learning about how people fought through the bad times and banded together and somehow survived through a time when everyone was down on their luck. I also love how hobos would hop trains. I'm sure their lives were awful and hard and I'm an awful person for romanticizing it, but as a teenage girl with wanderlust, I would love to hop on a train and go wherever it took me.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

message 507: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
I don't think being an introvert is a bad thing. It's just how a lot of people are.
I'm an extrovert... but I still need time alone with my thoughts. The personality test called it "extrovert with introverted feeling." So instead of driving around with my family right now (they're trying to find items people set out for "big trash day" to take) I'm in my room, reading and online. It sounds fun, I just can't take people all the time. Except the whole extrovert thing is showing here in this GIANT RAMBLE because I can't stand not talking about myself for an extended period of time. SHUSH UP LAV. *zips lips closed*

Hmm. Probably I'll Make a Man Out of You. And I See the Light. And I've Got a Dream. And Go the Distance. And That's How You Know. And Once Upon a Dream. And You've Got a Friend in Me. AND MANY MORE.

Least favorite subject in school?

MATH. As you probably know from my ranting about math on Skype.

"When I'm angry, I post a Manifesto online and have a nervous breakdown."

Do you like scary movies?

message 509: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments I read Girls With Slingshots, if a web comic counts.

Do you have any favourite blogs (what are they)?

message 510: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments Alfred Brendel and Simon Rattle are both excellent.

What are the ten most-played songs on your iPod/Mp3/computer/phone/whatever?

message 511: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Um... let me think.

The Magnificent Seven theme, the James Bond theme, Dream is Collapsing, Dream Within a Dream, Cavatina, and... I'm not sure about the rest.

Do you want to go see the Avengers? And if you already have, did you like it?

message 512: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Radio.

Favorite TV Channel?

message 513: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments BBC Three, I guess? I rarely watch television, but most of the programmes I do watch are on there. That or E4, which shows a lot of American programmes like The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Gilmore Girls &c. &c.

If you had to live in any film, which would it be?

message 514: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Midnight in Paris. Because I'd be in Paris and I'd be able to go back in time and it would be fabulous.

Do you prefer Hank Green or John Green?

message 515: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments Laura Marling's newest album. It was released back in September, but I was in no real rush to get it, thinking that my tastes had changed slightly and whatever, but I found the CD in a music shop in town for only like £5 or something, and I've really done nothing but listen to it since then and akdfhakjfhks now I remember why I love her music so much.

Do you have a favourite film musical (you know, like Sound of Music and Singing in the Rain and whatever)?

message 516: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments I haven't seen it for years, but I think Lady and the Tramp really is lovely.

Least favourite Disney film?

message 517: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Anastasia! :D I'm actually sort of obsessed with that movie. Everyone always says that it's a Disney movie and I'm all NO IT'S NOT GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

Most annoying thing that's happened to you today?

message 518: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I needed to microwave my lunch for one minute and my sister had to melt chocolate, which was taking like 5 minutes, and she kept taking it out and stirring it. So frustrating.

Do you play instruments?

message 519: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, I play guitar.

Do you like Evanescence?

message 520: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
I don't listen to them regularly, but yeah, I like them.

How much cash do you currently have?

message 521: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Six bucks.

Plans for tonight?

message 522: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Impartial.

Would you skydive?

message 523: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments YES.

How long is too long for a book?

message 524: by [deleted user] (new)

A book can be as long as it wants if its awesomeness warrants such lengthiness.

Name your current least favorite character. (Yours, another author's, anyone's.)

message 525: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments KSROAHRFIOSUEAHSORJASLTHEOAIRU

THERE ARE SO MANY.

Umbridge fo' sho', though.

Favorite superhero?

message 526: by [deleted user] (new)

Honestly, most superheroes bother me. I guess Iron Man amuses me the most, but I still don't like him.

Can you do a good impersonation of anyone? If so, who?

message 527: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Um... Saturn, because it's cool like that.

If you were a ruthless dictator of the jungle, which animal would you exile?

message 528: by tesni (new)

tesni (akhmatova) | 5031 comments It's only twenty to nine and I'm still in my pyjamas, but I am in the process of doing something pretty nerdy today. It being twenty years today since her death, being the ridiculously and pathetically devoted film nerd, uh, person I am, I am having a Marlene Dietrich marathon.
First film of the morning is The Scarlet Empress.

How about you?

message 529: by Manfred (new)

Manfred Matela (mrspoon) | 23 comments Just woke up so I don't know if I've had any nerdy moment.. unless coming here to the Nerdfighter group as soon as I wake up counts as nerdy, which it might do.

What's the longest book you've ever read?

message 530: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Oh my goodness, you make me choose?

Um. Monster's, Inc. or Up.

What would you do if you were locked in a room with a shoe box, an old broken TV set, a telegraph, and a jar of mustard?

message 531: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments I would probably cry, go crazy, and then slather mustard on myself while bashing my shoebox-adorned head into the wall.

If you could eat the main character of your favorite novel, what side dishes would be appropriate?

message 532: by Hannah (new)

Hannah | 954 comments I would tell you the real answer, but it's also the answer to a lot of my security questions for various things xD So instead let's just say My Side of the Mountain.

What is the unhealthiest (and most delicious) food your taste buds have ever had the pleasure of tasting?

message 533: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Holden wrote: "German Potato Salad.

Your favorite book as a young kid? (Let's say between the ages of 8-10)"

Oh, I see what you did there... CLEVER.

Hannah, probably fried snickers. I doubt that's good for you, but it's so melty and sweet and AAAAAAAH.

Best flavor of gatorade/powerade?

message 534: by [deleted user] (new)

Tornadoes, please. Hurricanes can cause tornadoes, so I consider them worse.

Favorite love story ever?

message 535: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments The Fault in Our Stars. Can we call that a love story?

What natural disaster happens often in your region?

message 536: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Holden wrote: "Is Blue a flavor?

(HEY GUESS WHAT GUYS TORANADO SIRENS ARE GOING OFF HERE. IT'S NOT FUN.)

Would you rather live under threat of tornadoes or Hurricanes?"

See, in Fort Scott, we never get tornadoes for real, so when we're under threat of them, people tend to go outside and enjoy the weather. *hick town*

message 537: by [deleted user] (new)

(Yes, that counts.)

Not many, really. I live in a valley and I'm quite far inland. I guess... thunderstorms?

What part of history interests you the most.

message 538: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments WWII, holocaust stuff...

Best class?

message 539: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
English.

Have you ever gone swimming in a lake?

message 540: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes. It was a very gross lake, at that.

Worst injury or illness you have ever had?

message 541: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Hmm. I used to get extremely high fevers when I was a baby and my parents would freak out. I can't remember that though. So recently, I'd have to say... um... my broken pinky? Or maybe (view spoiler)

Have you ever broken something out of anger?

(Ha ha, there were sirens going off where I live, too. I ran out with binoculars to watch.)

Favorite kids TV show. Hmm....

Blues Clues or Little Einsteins.

Name one person you want to punch in the face.

message 543: by [deleted user] (new)

Hmm... (view spoiler) He's this guy I was in a play with that was just a jerk to me, always telling me I wasn't trying hard enough and I needed to get better at all this stuff, acting like he knew me better than I did. He wasn't even the director. *rolls eyes*

Have you ever physically hurt another person on purpose?

message 544: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Me? Hurt anybody? On purpose?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA no.

Would you ever be interested in assisting an individual in seeing what would happen if you put somebody in a maze of mirrors?

(The subjects will be rats, I promise.)

message 545: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments McDonald's.

Are you a landshark?

message 546: by Jo (new)

Jo (Penname8) | 1574 comments I don't know what that is.

Edward Norton or Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk?

message 547: by [deleted user] (new)

OH MY GOSH, MIRROR MAZES ARE SO MUCH FUN. I went in one in Minnesota with my brother and it was SO FLIPPING TRIPPY. akdla;dsklfj I want to go in another one.

In answer to Yue's question: It's in Toy Story 3. The scene where Woody and Andy say goodbye to each other. Oh my goodness. I couldn't stop crying. And then I cried again on the way home and later that night. Every time I see it, I cry.

What's the last book that made you laugh out loud?

message 549: by [deleted user] (new)

Probably The Last Unicorn, when the blue jay is humming to her baby birds:

Spiders and sowbugs and beetles and crickets,
Slugs from the roses and ticks from the thickets,
Grasshoppers, snails, and a quail's egg or two,
All to be regurgitated for you.
Lullaby, lullaby, swindles and schemes,
Flying's not near as much fun as it seems.

Have you ever created a character that resembled someone you really know?

message 550: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Harmon (mandyharmon) | 10724 comments DUDE LAV LAV LAV I TOOK THAT TEST FINALLY AND I'M AN ENFP...but I think I will retake it when I have more time because I was in a hurry and I already can think of a couple answers I'd change. Like, the score says I am "slightly expressed perceiving personality," but I express my perceptiveness quite a bit.
