This thread is a good place to bring up things other than A/A stuff. (And other than movie and TV stuff too. We have a couple of robust threads and thread groups for TV and Movies.)

What's going on? Questions?

Post it here.

Is anybody familiar with Adhesive Capulitus? (Frozen Shoulder) I'm dealing with that now and it's a b...well it's very unpleasant. Has anyone else dealt with Frozen Shoulder? Any tips?

I've not dealt with it, but it sounds very unpleasant. Hope you get some kind of relief soon. How do they treat that...PT, surgery? My son was born with limited range of motion in both of his shoulders...not being able to raise your arms up can make some of the simplest tasks, extremely difficult.

It's common among women who are also Diabetic. It's where the soft tissue (not the rotator cup, but below that) which is suposed to be like one of those stretch to stick wraps they use in medical decides not to be stretchy. THey don't know what causes it, but, I can tell you it's painful for a long time.

Everything I've read says it's multiple months of PT to fix it. Sometimes surgery, and exercises twice a day.

The doc gave me a shot that went into the joint and that was painful.

We just moved out of NC recently...hoping all my friends stay safe. We are getting some rain here in TN, though not sure if it's related to the hurriane yet.

That's us....at least as far as a five day forecast is concerned

message 11: by Ctgt (new)

Ctgt Here in the Mid-Atlantic we're supposed start feeling it by early next week. However, since they have a difficult time predicting tomorrow's forecast with any reliability, I'm not holding my breath.

Thanks for the thoughts, Eileen.

message 12: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Your welcome, Ctgt!

Very true on the weather predictions! Maybe it will stay in the Atlantic.

I live in upstate NY and we're suppose to just get rain and wind by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Keep us informed on how you all are doing.

well since we are more or less in a direct line from the mouth of the Chesapeake to Washington D. C. we're going to get some storm effect. the question is how much. I'm hoping we fare better than we did during Irene and Isabelle.

message 14: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Right now I'm suppose to be enjoying my second day of vacation in Ireland. Well, because of weather delays I won't be there until tomorrow! I hate flying and airports! Hopefully, I'll be able to change my return flight so I can stay longer. Who knows what will happen when I get to the airport today, wish me luck!

message 15: by Jim (new)

Jim (jimmaclachlan) Bummer, Eileen. Good luck getting there. Hope this doesn't goof your plans or vacation too much.

message 16: by Eileen (new)

Eileen Thanks, Jim.

We did make it to Ireland and had a fantastic time! I'm home and hope to catch up with all the posts since I've been away.

It's not 5/1000s, it's 5/100s of a milenium. (Sigh) I feel older already.

I could have said 5/1000s of an Aeon, but, that might be pushing it.

I think the answer is how you see things...

When I look in the mirror I see...

This and This

Everybody else sees

This

and

Eileen Today while cleaning out the garage (which has been a summer and fall project) we found two autographed pictures. One of Jane Mansfield and Robert Mitchum. Both are in black and white and signed by them.... cool!!!
