Christi (trumpetchick) | 6992 comments I'd rather not. Sorry. I have no desire to get into politics.

Christi (trumpetchick) | 6992 comments I simply prefer his policies over Obama's. And one of the big factors for me is that he's pro-life. *waits patiently for hate comments to be hurled at her*

OFF.

message 15814: by Christi (new)

Christi (trumpetchick) | 6992 comments I didn't think you'd be the one to fling hate comments on me. I thought someone else would come on and flame me. Because it happened a lot before I put myself on a politics ban. I learned that no one really wants to hear my opinion, and even if they do, it's so that they can rope me into a debate or insult me. You, Jahlia, are the one exception. I am genuinely shocked to hear that someone simply wants my opinion.
Anyway. I'm done. That was enough politics for me. :)
Whit - why are you feeling ignored?

message 15818: by Christi (new)

Christi (trumpetchick) | 6992 comments I am fine when I'm learning about why a person believes what they believe. However, it sometimes turns into slandering and attempts to shove their beliefs down my throat. I mostly like to do trivial, silly debates, like whether Star Wars or Star Trek is better.

Why do you want to vaporize
@Christi:
Star Wars is better

Millie AWKWARD TURTLE! ♥Cheeseburger♥*THING11* (millie557) | 9422 comments @Fletcher. I was NOT prepared to be a senior

@christi. I agree with fletcher, Star Wars is better

Star wars is better.

My state is still gray. I didn't vote myself

message 15823: by Christi (new)

Christi (trumpetchick) | 6992 comments Indeed. Star Wars is better. I love both, but Star Wars all the way.
Jahlia - I'm from California. I'll just say that I'm proud to be in Colorado right now. Less crime. Nicer people.

THIS IS STRESSING ME OUT! Okay guys, I don't have a future and the whole politics shit is pissing me off. I want a future where I don't have to pay for the people that don't work. I want a future where I can get a job after college, and right now, I don't even know if I can go to college. Senior year is stressing me because I realized that I lazed around too much in the past, and that's my own fault. But I just want a future. I want to know that I'll have a good life, and I don't feel like I will if our current President is reelected.

Millie AWKWARD TURTLE! ♥Cheeseburger♥*THING11* (millie557) | 9422 comments Amen to that except the not having to pay for those who don't work. Sure there are people who abuse the system, but think of those who CAN'T work.

message 15831: by [deleted user] (new)

Well, I was just aiming for those fake people that really can do stuff, but they chose to laze around. Trust me, my grandmother... she's physically disabled because she has MS and if she could, she'd be working. There are people in my life, that if they could they would be out there in a job working place.

But people like my neighbors, that are perfectly fine, I don't think that they need to be supported by people that work hard for their money.

message 15833: by [deleted user] (new)

But that's just a dumb republicans view. -_- At least that's what I'm getting. What I don't understand is why everyone else is aloud to have an opinion but when someone else has a different view those people get trashed. Like some people started attacking my friend for supporting Romney today.

Millie AWKWARD TURTLE! ♥Cheeseburger♥*THING11* (millie557) | 9422 comments You gotta know that most of what you hear is bull shit and the rest is a lie.

Millie AWKWARD TURTLE! ♥Cheeseburger♥*THING11* (millie557) | 9422 comments Thank you Jah, I was trying to explain that, but I'm not eloquent.

message 15836: by [deleted user] (new)

@Jahlia, I'm not even going to comment my thoughts towards that because you missed my entire point. Things aren't improving, but again that's my opinion.

I'm done talking politics.

I know of someone who was on welfare, raising a child she gave birth to shortly after high school, a child she and he planned in a moment of insanity. Believe me, they went to lengths to make it happen. Somehow they were able to use tax money to be able to afford to rent a house and then later buy a mobile home.

Then there's me. Been working since high school at a job I get screwed right and left at, went to college and got a degree and rather than being able to get a better job with that degree, I had to go out and get a second part-time job. I have not applied for any welfare and I just can't get ahead. Where's the FT job I hoped to have at HS graduation 4 years ago? The home and family I'd hoped to start? I had to PAY taxes for three years and I was working my tail off to better myself.

message 15839: by [deleted user] (new)

Honestly, I have no idea what's going to happen, and I feel like I'm being attacked for not wanting to worry about exactly what you are Jess. I don't want that type of life, and from reading into Romney's campaign I feel like I will be able to have the life I want, if he becomes President, and I just want to point out that... everything started going bad for you when Obama became President.

What did you get your degree in?

Just wondering... because I really just want to be off of the subject of politics because I feel like I am going to break down and cry if we start debating and crap.

message 15840: by [deleted user] (new)

Actually, screw that... everything is Bush's fault.

message 15841: by [deleted user] (new)

How after four years are we still blaming Bush? I mean I get that he jacked up the last four years, but seriously? Why can't people take the blame for things that they did? Are lies really better than the truth?

I have an Associate in Arts, a degree that I could then go to a 4-year school and skip the whole first two years of courses if I so chose. But I am worried about doing so because 1. I can't afford to, 2. I don't want to make my parents pay when they already paid for my 2year one, 3. I really just want to move out and find out who I am out from under my parents outdated rules and restrictions.
