Sherri Moorer (sherrithewriter) Hi, I have a question. How do you combine versions of your book? I have two books that need versions combined. "Blurry" has an ebook and paperback version and I'd like to combine them into one version. And it looks like "Anywhere But Here" was added as an ARC and then again when it was released this week - both versions have reviews and I'd like to combine them. How do I do that?

Thanks!

vicki_girl | 2764 comments On your author page, just above the list of your books there is a bar the says "Books by Sherri Fulmer Moorer". Over to the right there is a link to "combine books". Click the link. From there you select the books to combine and hit the combine button.

Actually, authors don't have access to the combine function (unless they are also librarians). We took that away after a few major problems.

Sherri Moorer (sherrithewriter) Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate you combining those editions.

Lesley | 1 comments I need to combine this foreign edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/65... with this US edition: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... but since Tony Wilson is one of the "different author, same name" people, I can't do it. Help?

Data | 33 comments Here are two editions of the same cookbook:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/60...
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10...
They should be combined, but they were published by different publishers, and hence, probably don't have the same editor. Since they are cookbooks, they don't have authors listed at all, just an editor in the case of the edition Murdoch published, and none listed in the case of Konemann.
Recommendations on how to proceed? Do they both go to Various as author, and add the known editor to the one in secondary author field? Or is there another good way to do this?
There are about 75, give or take, different cookbooks that were published at two different times as part of two or more series so it would be nice to know how to proceed so they are uniform and can be combined and added to the right series.
I did try searching on other sites, but can't come up with much better information than is already on GR. I haven't found any of the Konemann-published ones in LoC, so no help there.

Here is one of the series to which the Konemann-published books belong.

D.L. Kung (inkblot) | 2 comments Please combine the following editions, so that:

"The Wardens of Punyu" Smashwords edition (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...) appears on many Listopia lists, but unfortunately the Kindle edition (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...)
and the paperback edition (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...) do not share these happy positions on the "lists."

Can these please be combined so that all editions of "The Wardens of Punyu" appear on the "listopia lists?"

Similarly, the other two volumes of the Handover Mysteries across the board:

The End of May Road Kindle edition (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11...) appears on "lists,"

but the Smashwords (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...)

and paperback edition (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...) say incorrectly "not on any lists."

The Shadows of Shigatse Kindle edition appears on the "lists" but the paperback still doesn't carry the "lists" on its page and the Smashwords edition is still waiting to be "combined" with its paperback and Kindle sisters and positioned correctly on the Listopia lists.

Many thanks for someone making sense of all these incomplete listings and aggregating The Shadows of Shigatse in which only the Smashwords title has the series appendage on it.

and thanks for your hard work!

They are already combined. However, only the edition that has been added to a list will show up. This known bug is on the list to fix, but it's not high priority, I'm afraid.

Dannye | 14 comments There are two versions showing up of our book Chasing Shadows - Kindle edition. One is at https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2.... The other is at https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2.... Can you get rid of one of them because it is the same issue, and we don't know how two of them appeared.

one is kindle and one is print edition. The correct author page is "Steven Paul Winkelstein"

I went through the combining process. There is only one edition listed now, but it kept the duplicate of the one reader review in place.

Yes, I had deleted the edition where the ASIN was put in the ISBN slot. If editions are combined, the reviews are also combined, so nothing is lost.

It was just that the reader had posted on BOTH editions so now the same review is showing twice on the remaining edition. However, if nothing can be done about it, I'm not going to worry about the same review being up there twice. It's a good review. :-)
