Dawn (dawnv) | 4058 comments Mythos Academy is a young adult urban fantasy series. The books are about Gwen Frost, a 17-year-old Gypsy girl who has the gift of psychometry, or the ability to know an object’s history just by touching it. After a serious freak-out with her magic, Gwen is shipped off to Mythos Academy, a school for the descendants of ancient warriors like Spartans, Valkyries, Amazons, and more.

The books in the series are:
Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep Kiss of Frost (Mythos Academy, #2) by Jennifer Estep First Frost (Mythos Academy, #0.5) by Jennifer Estep Dark Frost (Mythos Academy, #3) by Jennifer Estep

Sandra | 4734 comments Loved Touch of Frost 5 stars and I'm looking forward to Kiss of Frost as soon as I can.

Heard mixed reactions to the prequel First Frost so I haven't bothered and I know you don't need to read it to enjoy the first book.

Jessi Overton (pixibella) | 91 comments I love these books and I'm impatiently waiting for Dark Frost to come out next month. As for First Frost I read it before I started Touch of Frost and I found it helped me understand Gwen alot better. It's also there when she first notices Daph and we get to see her first impressions of Mythos Academy.I'm actually going to be rereading this series again once Dark Frost comes out.

Anyway moving on... I don't about you lovely ladies but I absolutely loved Gwen but Logan our tortured trouble but oh so lovable hero is my favorite character. Actually magic powers aside he's the kind of guy(the bad boy with a heart of gold who's confident, secure, and sweet especially to me) I would date in high school, college, and even now(although a more mature version). I can't wait til May!!!

But overall I love how if you take out the magic and leave just the school, the relationships, and the interactions...You can almost relate to the characters like you are currently going to school with them.

Sandra | 4734 comments LOL. Well, its been a long time since I was at school, plus my High School was all girls.

But I agree about our troubled Hero, I'd have one of him in my pocket any day. *shush don't tell hubby*

Jessi Overton (pixibella) | 91 comments Your secret is safe with me ;-)... I've been reading 3 Y/A series this year and I just love the heroes who stand beside our leading ladies. My only problem is I don't know who I love more Stark the Warrior-Guardian from the House of Night series by PC Cast, Logan the Spartan-Warrior from Mythos Academy(obviously), or Dimitri the Guardian-Warrior from Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead...Why do these authors have to write this boys so lovable *sigh* it's such a hardship having to read about them...:-)

I only read First Frost from Mythos Academy so I can't talk about Logan... but between Stark and Dimitri... well Dimitri always had my heart... even when he was evil... and then came Last Sacrifice... when YA are concerned, Dimitri is always the winner!
