Ok, I read this one a while ago so I'm not going to read it again. I will try to search the net to see if I can come up with book club questions for it.

In the mean time, anyone else that is reading, please feel free to lead the discussion or post anything else about the book/series here. Please just make sure if you discuss the series, lead your comments with *SPOILER* for those who haven't read yet. :)

Julie I have included this one as one of my reads for the April-June Challenge. Looking forward to it.....

Suzanne | 767 comments I read this one a LONG time ago (the whole series). Not sure I remember much! I actually just took the entire series over to a used bookstore the other weekend, so I don't even have my copies anymore.

I really liked them, except I remember thinking Tracey got a little too whiny for my taste, near the end of the series.

Tara I read this series already too. I really liked it. I think she was more whiney in the first book and it took my a while to read that one but after that I was hooked. :)

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments I don't remember her being whiny in the first book (though I read that a really long time ago), but I seriously wanted to smack Tracey in Slightly Engaged. I almost didn't finish the series because of that book. Slightly Married was better, but she still got on my nerves a bit. Reading those last two (which I did significantly after reading the first two) made me wonder if I'm just too old now.

I think it was Slightly Engaged and Slightly Married that I had a problem with. But Slightly Suburban made it all better. ;)

Nicole (nicole21) | 573 comments Oh yeah, I forgot there were five books instead of four. Slightly Suburban definitely redeemed Tracey. I still, however, find her appallingly young (thus, making me feel even older as I approach my 30th birthday).

LOL, I waved bye-bye to my 30th two years ago. ;)

You guys are making me feel really old--I celebrated my 30th more than a decade ago! LOL

Suzanne | 767 comments Slightly Suburban made me sad, though. If I remember correctly (it's been awhile) didn't she basically say it's ok to move on from your friendships once you get married? Her friends weren't important to her anymore, since she got married and moved to the suburbs. That just made me so sad because I'm still single.

It's weird, because I read a lot of YA, and yet chick lit books make me feel old.

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments I love that this post became "when I first read it" :)

I remember the first time I read it feeling like I could sort of relate since I was around the same age. I re-read it in my late 20's and had a different perspective of it and did remember thinking she was whiny. But I liked the Slightly Engaged area of the series. This makes me want to reread the series again but alas I'm reading too many books right now! I started too many when I couldn't focus because of my fever and now I'm stuck trying to finish them all!!

HAHA! I love what you said Suzanne when you said "It's weird, because I read a lot of YA, and yet chick lit books make me feel old." So true!!

Ashley If anyone is interested, I have Slightly Settled listed on PBS (it's book 2 in the series :)

Dinou R | 7 comments Read it, liked it a lot! I have to confess that Tracey's insecurity bugged by quite a lot but I really felt sorry for her. Strange that I enjoyed a first-person narrative book too. I'll definitely read the other books of the series.

That's great! Yeah, if you can get past the insecurity issues & whining (in a later book), the whole series is really cute.
