Whoohooh! Thanks for the pics Stephanie. I don't know why when I tried they wouldn't attach, but you did a great job on your homework assignment! My Jacob pick is definitley Eddie and I would love to see Tyler cast as Seth. All the other gents, Michael, Jay, David, are just for general knowledge of what Native actors are out there, not neccessarily for Twilight. Tokala Clifford should be under google images.

I'm definetly rooting for Taylor! But then again, if Michael ends up getting cast, what is bella gonna do "Whoa Jacob you grew up!" no way that would be too cheesy.
Erica, are you referring to Michael Copon? I don't want him cast either but it's going to equally cheesy when Taylor Lautner, as Jacob, ask Bella if he still looks sixteen after his transformation because, unlike the Jacob in the book, Bella will be able to reply, "Yes, Jacob. You do look sixteen." Cheese all around I guess. LOL

Hi Ladies, just another Native actor FYI to share: Look up Rick Mora who actually plays the Quileute "Native Warrior" in the movie. His scene is the one showing him making the treaty with the Cullens. It's downright ridiculous how beautiful looking he is!
OK TAYLOR LAUTNER IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO CAN PLAY JACOB BLACK!!!! he is perfect and hot a dreamy and a perfect JB. i meen come one, u cannt just chang charecters in the movie when he was allready in the first!!!

Great Pcitures of Rick, Stephanie! For those who don't know, he plays the Indian Warrior who makes the treaty with the Cullens in the Twilight movie. He is not replacing Jacob, though I would love to see more of him somehow in the upcoming movies.

Here we go again with the age issue so I don't know if he'd be considered too old, as he's 25, but I'd love to see Tokala Clifford play Paul. Nakotah Larance could possibly be Quil. I'd be thrilled to see Tyler Posey play Seth! There's also Simon Baker, not to be confused with the blond actor also with the same name, who might do well with a part. Nathaniel Arcand is another Native actor, but I do believe he would be too old for Twilight.

I know I'm the lone voice on this, but "Curses, curses, curses". I do not see Taylor Lautner as the transformed, older looking, TALL, Native American, sexy, badboy Jacob Stephanie Meyers describes in her books (and neither did she originally as she picked Steven Strait). Taylor hasn't even finished puberty yet and he's up against a grown man. Twilight is now officialy a duo for me and not a triangle becuase there is no competition between Robert and Taylor. I'll still see New Moon, but I doubt it will be the multiple times I've seen Twilight.

I'd just like to add that I was very much a part of this decision. My first priority was always what was best for New Moon—what was going to give us the best possible movie. I'm truly thrilled that Taylor was the one who proved to the director, to Summit, and to me that he is the best possible Jacob we could have. And I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he's going to bring to Jacob's character this year.

If they paid me the right amnount of money, I'd probably say the same thing too. I still don't see how Taylor Lautner is the best choice as Jacob. He's got one heck of a tall order to fill. Even the screenwriter said it was going to be tough matching Taylor at 16 against Robert's 22 years of age. Oh, well, I guess. At least he gets a haircut and doesn't have to keep wearing that ridiculous wig.

That was so nicely said, Stephanie, and even though I think Taylor is completely wrong for the role and don't think we'll see any of our other Native actor picks for the additional roles, I'll still see the movie, but for the matinee price. I've seen Twilight several times now, but I'm so skeptical about Taylor's role that I'm just not that excited anymore.
