Man, you guys are fast readers --- I don't like my book that I picked for my #20, but it is for my F2F bookclub so I will power through. :-(
Mine is called "The Super Sad True Love Story". I theoretically need to have it finished by tomorrow. It's about this middle age guy who meets this Asian girl on a business trip to Rome and he thinks he is in love with her so he tries to woo her but isn't all that successful. It's set in a world where no one reads books but the main character still does. The world replied heavily on this things called apprait(sp?). They are like highly advanced Ipads.
Mine is "The Sisters" and I have had it on my to read list for awhile, but as I understand it should be really good. 6 sisters in the 30's with widely held political views. One even becomes rumored to have had a fling with Hitler. But I'm told it's just not written better than a history book. History is not boring, just the writing.

I'm not going to claim the 1 pt for HF, although this book tells 2 stories, one takes place around 1928 and the parallel story is present day. But I don't think that the primary focus of this story is the HF part, so I don't think it'll really qualify. If someone else has another opinion I'll gladly consider it (insert cheeky grin)

The Rules:
April TBR Challenge
** Sign ups: Participants must sign up and provide their book list before 12:00am EST April 1st, 2012. Only those who have signed up and posted their lists by March 31st 11:59pm EST will be able to participate in this challenge.
** There will be ONE opportunity to re-arrange your unread book list on April 15th. Aside from this date, book lists cannot be changed after April 1st. Choose wisely! ;)
** All points must be reported by 11:59pm EST on April 30, 2012 to be counted.
RULES:
1) Books must be at least 200 pages long.
2) The first book used for the challenge should be started on or after April 1st.
3) Audiobooks are accepted.
4) Re-reads are NOT permitted for this challenge.
5) There is no genre requirement for this challenge, except the 100 point Bonus task, which must be HF.
6) ALL page counts, regardless of edition or version read, will be determined by the most popular edition of the book on Goodreads.
SCORING / HOW IT WORKS:
1) At time of sign-up, each participant will select 20 books from their own To-Read list on Goodreads. Any variation of a To-Read shelf will count, including Wishlist. There is NO genre requirement for these books.
Books will be ordered from 1-20, and their placement will determine their point value. Examples: A book in the #1 place will receive 1 point when done, a book in the #20 spot will receive 20 points, etc.
Tip: Order books that you are most likely to read in the higher value spots to earn higher scores. :)
2) Bonus Task: Choose one HF book from EACH of Jackie and Becky's TBR lists that you have not read, and read both books.
To earn this bonus, at least 5 of your OWN books must be completed, and one HF book from each of Jackie and Becky's TBRs must be completed. Once ALL 7 books are read, 100 points will be awarded.
You can read in any order you like, but points will not be awarded until all 5 of your own books and both bonus HF books are completed.
**Bonus book choices do not need to be chosen by April 1 and these can be changed at any time. ONLY the list of 20 books from your own To-Read list need to be selected by April 1. **
