I finished Sung in Blood by Glen Cook and started For Heaven's Eyes Only by Simon R. Green -- I've fallen behind on my Simon Green and need to get caught up before Live and Let Drood comes out in June.

Finished The Hunger Games and Catching Fire for a second time and plan on fitting Mockingjay in as well. Am rereading A Game of Thrones right now. Then on to Red Seas Under Red Skies and The Blade Itself for new ones
Just got hooked by Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb. After that I'll be reading the next two books in The Farseer series this month, as well as some graphic novels (Habibi).

I will be reading Changes by Jim Butcher, followed by Ghost Story and then the Immortal Iron Fist volumes 2-5
I am re-reading a classic from my childhood, The Borrowerscurrently, thanks to the release of The Secret World or Arrietty. Also have on my list The Gods of Mars, Lost in a Good Book, and Dreadnought The Clockwork Century 3, and perhaps a few others that I might pick up from the library, like Apocalypse Star Wars:Fate of the Jedi 9

Do those books bring back memories - I still own three of them in hardback, signed by the illustrator with original drawings in pen and ink sketched on the title page, and also an unrelated original pen and ink. Beth and Joe Krush were, at one time, teachers of an illustration class I attended at Moore College of Art.
I loved Feed, and it's follow on. YOu're lucky as part 3 is out soon.
I've just finished Golden Fool for the sister group, absolutely excellent. Have gone straight on to Fool's Fate

Reading Winter's Tale after I just finished Foundation and Earth, Foundation's Edge, and The Joy Luck Club.

Yay!
I dropped the Southern Vampire Mysteries and now I'm listening to Ender's Game on audio. I also started reading The Rook and I'm so glad I did, it's awesome!
I'm currently reading Reapers Gale (malazan book of the fallen) a bit slow at the beginning, but it builds up as i go on. coming to the good part now! started this series five months ago and i can't seem to stop reading it! :) won't start to read anything else until i finish mbotf.
I finished
and both were good (Hammered better than the other.)I've been having issues with
on audio so I switched to print and it sort of improved the book. Maybe because I'm not listening to their overly sweet voices, I dunno. Then I started two books:
which is definitely the audio I needed and
, a historical romance I've heard about. Both going very well...
i am almost halfway through deadhouse gates and i am almost done with hyperion by dan simmons it has taken me 3 days to read 353 pages in this book it is outstanding same with deadhouse gates. so far malazan book of the fall are my favorate fantesy novels
I just finished
. So far, I think it's the best book of the series. Just started
and not as into it yet, I hope it gets better.

I couldn't stop myself, been crying again! I'm about 75% through.

Wish we could 'like' a comment. :-)
Finished For Heaven's Eyes Only and started Ghost Of A Smile, both by Simon R. Green, and will be following up with The Bride Wore Black Leather -- the latest installments in all three of his current series, which share the same universe and occasionally have minor crossovers or references to each other.
Now that I finally have time to sit down and read again, I'm working my way through the Drizzt series. I'm currently on Siege of Darkness. I'm also reading The Way of Kings again and about to start Dawn of Darkness which was written by a friend of mine.--G.K.
I finished reading The Lightning Thief and watched the movie right after (didn't like it cause it didn't stick to the book) .. now I'm reading The Eye of the World ..
In April I will be mostly reading Will Macmillan Jones' two books- The Banned Underground. In between I shall be dipping in and out of Gene Wolfe's books.
I'm currently reading Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind, but it's kind of dragging so I started Aisling Grey second bookFire Me Up as a light parallel read. Hoping to finish them up both by the end of the month.

Nice, always nice to see new readers being introduced to Drizzt, even I wish you started with The Crystal Shard first because you get a different view of Drizzt.
Finished Ghost Of A Smile and am on to The Bride Wore Black Leather. After that . . . Something not written by Simon R. Green.

Kevin wrote: "I'm also reading Simon R. Green with his first three nightside books, A Walk on the Nightside, which I just finished the first book. I've had mixed luck with his other series -- I like the Eddie Drood books but haven't been impressed with the Carnacki Institute series. And I started reading Deathstalker a few years back and kind of lost momentum at the end of book four. Haven't tried the Hawk & Fisher books yet.
Just finished with Mistborn: The Final Empire which I really liked. Reading with the Fantasy Series group so I am heading right into The Well of Ascension.

I'm reading Memories of Ice and I can tell you it seems to me the series gets better with every page and chapter :)

I've read through House of Chains and so far, yes, they get better every page. As much as I enjoyed DG and MoI, HoC has been my favorite so far. Such a great series.

I can guess why... (view spoiler) so I'm looking forward to that one for sure :)btw I disagree with the "haters" that the characterization isnt so deep or that worldbuilding takes over too much... he just doesnt describe characters in long paragraphs, laying them bare all at once... one has to work to know them, step by step, from the story, from the dialogues, which are masterfully done I think... and worldbuilding is just right for such vast world, with all its ancient sites and all... the story has a fast pace... usually when you have thick tomes the pace just drags and drags but not here... the pace is fast throughout, barely giving you a chance to breathe :)

I got several chapters into All Together Dead, the seventh book in the series. I just couldn't take the awkward, creepy sex scenes anymore. I have no problem with sex scenes but the way they were written made me uncomfortable, and that's hard to do.

I'm not aware of that kind of criticism of the Malazan series, but I'd have to disagree that characterization takes "he just doesnt describe characters in long paragraphs, laying them bare all at once" and that in fact good characterization does come from the action, dialogue, etc.
I'm one who decided that the series isn't my cup of tea, but not because of shallow characterization. I just didn't care enough about any of them to continue.
Just finished two books and loved the first and liked the second:Frank Tuttle's The Banshee's Walk was the most awesome of the series yet.
and
Tamora Pierce's Bloodhound was really good. This is epic fantasy, which I don't read a lot. I had mixed emotions about this book. Really well written and I love the style, but there were some things I didn't like. I've already checked out Mastiff (the third) from the library and started it. But I'm wondering if I should take a break from Beka and her adventures for a bit...
I've started Black Magic Sanction because I'm trying to read books I already have instead of buying new ones. I bought it back when I was reading a lot of urban fantasy. And while it's witty and amusing, I'm getting a little bored with all the drama. Someone or other is always almost dying.
Finished my Simon R. Green binge with The Bride Wore Black Leather and then, for something completely different, decided to go with far-future SF: House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds.
I finished Tamora Pierces Mastiff and frankly I hated it. It was totally unbelievable at the end with characters changing personalities just to fill a weak plot point...some characters just sort of ignoring events...an appearance by one at an inappropriate time that made it feel off.UGH. Epic fantasy is long and I spent too much time on these last two books in the series. Thank God there aren't any further ones. Not recommended.
I just finished A Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow and loved it. So far I think the books have just kept getting better in this series.
I started the month reading Moon Called with some trepidation. Truthfully, I was more than half expecting the sort of furry porn that shapeshifter fantasy often turns out to be. I found it to be surprisingly entertaining and I will be continuing the series hoping I continue to enjoy it. I followed that up with The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice and I'm sorry I wasted my time with it. I expect this will become a series, but I won't be reading it.
Currently, I'm reading Christopher Moore's newest book, Sacre Bleu: A Comedy d'Art, and I'm absolutely loving it.
Next month, I plan on reading Hide Me Among the Graves by Tim Powers. The Beyond Reality book group has two selections for May, Embassytown and Jack of Shadows. I will probably read the first and, since I barely remember it, I might re-read the second. Sadly, I'll be skipping the Fantasy Book Club's May selection since I haven't liked anything I've read by Jim Butcher.
Finished Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse last night. Good for a short story anthology, which are usually a mixed bag from my experience. I enjoyed quite a few of the stories in there. Now I'm finally tackling A Clash of Kings
