i honestly think it would be hilarious if justin bieber was finnick because do you remember what fin nick wears at the beginning its some rope thing!!!! ;)

Oh, thanks for that "wonderful" (sarcasm) imagery, Gabrielle. ;) It would be hilarious if he played Finnick, but not the sort of hilarity that I think the movie makers would want.

I think it is possible. I read in a magazine that he dyed his hair brown for a movie. honestly, it looked better blonde. I love Justin, but I doubt that he would match up to all of Finnick's qualities. but you never know. he could suprise us all
I don't want Justin Bieber playing Finnick, but seriously people, he isn't that bad. He's a singer that some movie producers might have considered letting him have a part in Catching Fire. So what? Their movie. Their creating it. Get over it. And quit saying such mean things about him. I really doubt they'll cast him! I want either Channing tatum or zac effron. Sadly, Channing tatum isn't really a franchise actor, but zac effron is.

BUT, if they want to stay true to the story, stay true to the characters, then they need to make their casting choices based on that, and not what will attract the biggest fan-girl crowd.

so i've gone back and read a lot of the posts on here and in the later posts there is a lot of people saying that who they cast doesnt matter and everyone can act and things of that nature. first...not everyone can act. i know i sure as hell can't act. thats why i played the part of narrator in my school production of peter pan. not everyone can act, just like not everyone can sing, or dance, or play an instrument.
second...casting is one of the most important parts of a movie. especially when you have a movie based off of books as popular as THG or twilight or harry potter. these series are known worldwide and fans feel like these characters are real. and they grow to know and love those characters. this is why the casting is so important. cast the wrong person and those die hard fans don't relate to the charater anymore. you get a completely different response from the audience. with a lot of movies word of mouth is the biggest selling point for them. so if the die hards who go to the movie's first showings don't like it they tell their friends and those friends don't go, and tell their friends they were told its not worth paying movie theater prices, and so on....
i will say that as far as the first movie goes the casting (in my opinion) was perfect. and up until seeing the movie i was unsure of their casting of lenny kravitz and elizabeth banks. but i was pleasantly suprised.
i think that they will do justice to all of the characters in catching fire. and those who feel this is an important part of the movie making process should be free to discuss it. and those who don't why waste the energy in even trying to argue about it?
Finnick does have to look considerably older than Katniss, though. I think that Ryan Gosling might be alright as Finnick, or maybe James MacAvoy? ...Actually, anyone but Bieber.

no. he would ruin the entire series. If he was cast as Finnick, people would just focus on him, instead of Hunger Games and the rest of the cast. I don't want to watch something if it's going to the Justin Bieber show.

i just hope they pick a good person for finnick and not jb if they do pick jb ill be horrified and look away till the nightmare is over...if they do pick jb as finnick it will be horrible but in mockingjay finnick dies so we all get to see jb die yay!!
I agree with most of the reviews about Finnick. He is Marilyn Monroe's future counter-part. Not to mention he's really, really, really drop dead gorgeous. Justin Bieber DOES NOT = drop dead gorgeous. I just don't see JB going "wanna sugar cube" and make a seductive face.
They have already chosen Alex Pettyfer, the guy in beastly. Calm down
