Justin Bieber as Finnick?

FIRST OF ALL. Who started this?SECOND. Gary Ross may have swayed a little giving in to teen-adored actors such as Liam Hemsworth, but he isn't stupid. He knows it won't make him anymore popular.
THIRD. Suzanne Collins is collaborating in casting. We can trust her.
LAST OF ALL. I think someone would drop a tracker jacker nest on him before that happened.
AND THAT'S why we know he won't even be considered in the Hunger Games world as anybody. And why whoever started this topic just wanted to cause panic.

I started this topic, but I didn't do it just to cause panic. I heard it from someone else. My friend said that she saw on Twitter, that they were thinking about casting JB as Finnick. Emphasis on THINKING. And no it wasn't April 1 when she told me or when I told you guys. Plus, Why would I want to cause a panic? I just wanted to hear everybody's opinion. How they express it is their choice.
Yeah, Bieber as Finnick? That has to be a joke. He looks twelve, not to mention he has a 12 year old's body-no offense, but I see Finnick has someone who is more manly. Plus, he'd have to pull off the charming, womanizer act and standing next to Jennifer Lawrence, he'd look like her baby brother.Foxface (message 49), you made a good suggestion. Taylor Kitsch.

I have great respect for JB. I am in no way into his music as I'm a bit past that genre at 26 (I'm guessing I would have loved him as a teen though)! I think he is a great talent. But I cannot see him as Finnick. Firstly I don't think he looks the part. I always imagine him as looking quite like Chris Hemsworth which is funny seeing as his brother plays Gale. Secondly, if he were to be in the movies then it would become the JB show and take away from the movies themselves. All the Beliebers would be attending the movie without having any interest in it other than to see JB. So a few days ago over at ew.com one of their writer suggested the guy who plays Jason on True Blood. When I looked at his pic I could totally picture it. Don't know if he could pull it off but he does have a bit of the look of Finnick.

I like Justin Bieber and all but he can not act at all. And finnick should be older than Justin Beiber. This would be a disaster. I don't know what they see in casting teen idols who can't act or don't look the part (as some people already pointed out). I forgot who Finnick was (it's been a whole year since I read Catching Fire), but I sure as heck don't want Justin Bieber anywhere near the film. I also still need to see the first Hunger Games movie sometime.

Everybody! I know that Hollywood has a tendency to screw up book-turned-movie projects, but honestly, they are not idiots. If we all feel so strongly about this (which we all do), they will not make a mistake that big. Everyone take a deep breath and calm down a little bit. Trust the lovely author Suzanne Collins to be smart enough and outspoken enough not to let that happen to our beloved Finnick.

I picture Finnick as a sort of Cato looking guy.
Short blonde hair, sort of sly. But in the end he has the good side to him. But Justin WOULD KILL THAT CHARACTER.
