Hello dearest members! ^_^
This is where we can all seek reading pointers from our fellow members; whether your thinking of reading a book and would like some info/summary on it, or if you've read a book and want to either recommend or warn, this is where to go! :D :D :D
I'm going to start with an "info plea"; I picked up this book (Falcon for a Queen, by Elizabeth Gaskin) at a sale at my library. I'd never heard of it but it's an older copy and I couldnt pass it up for such a price so I just grabbed it. . . now I'm wondering what other people think of it, and if I should read it or not? ...?? A Falcon for a Queen by Catherine Gaskin

Can't help you there Alice - sorry!! ;)

For me it would be...
Which author or books next so as not to stray to from Austen? ;)

LadyDisdain It sounds *soo* interesting! I would love to read it - mystery, intrigue, the past acting over the present, I love stuff like that.
So you can probably guess what I'm saying: I'd read it, if I were you ;) After all you did end up buying it :P (I have this thing where I only buy books that I've already read and love.)

Hmmmm, Soph, Ellanor's Exchange wasn't regency but when I read it it had the same feel and it easily could pass for regency. lol Ellanor's Exchange by Linda Hayner

Nicole | 406 comments Oooh! I recommend The Alcott Legacy (3 bk series) by MaryAnn Minatra. It follows several generations of one family from pre-civil war (U.S.) to World War 1. Love it.
Here's her page...its 1.the tapestry 2.the masterpiece & 3.the heirloom :)
