I really disliked Alexei in this book too. I am amazed his family didn't interfere with the situation, he was just really cruel. I had a hard time seeing the happily ever after in this book because of it.

i personally loved the book very much though yes alexei was such a beast. he kept the story interesting though n so amusing. elysse did drive him to it though. imagine yourself in love wid some1 who is always surrounded by potential suitors n not only that. she was such a terrible flirt. who wud believe in her innocence !? n she did encourage men, giving them false signals. she played them that's why alexei reacted like dat. when u do too much, when u surpass urself there comes a point people become disguted n fed up with putting up with ur attitude. only one thing i thought could have been changed in the story was the six year gap. i thought they shud have reunited sooner. maybe 4/5 years. i don't like that the reunion was kept for after 5 years
