If the movie was remade and done well, who would you want to play which characters?

Yes, very good! Although personally I am a fan of Sean Bean! But he doesn't really fit the description, so yeah, EVERYTHING MUST GO! And while I also think Steve Coogan is quite funny, Hades should be hotter and scarier!
I think Annabeth should be played by someone who is blonde (who, idk, but that should be fixed along with everything else)

Lena, I'm a Sean Bean fan as well. I don't quite remember his description in the book, so I was fine with that part of the casting.
As for the rest of the actors and writers? Shoo. Go ruin a different movie. I don't know of many young, talented actors, so I have trouble thinking of a new cast.

Maxy, I applaud you for being a Sean Bean fan. And I completely agree with you about the rest of the cast and so on. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I believe in the books Zeus is described as having grey eyes and a neat grey/black beard, and as having a proud face and wearing a pinstripe suit.
Yeah his face was proud but also serious/scary.
It almost seemed TOO modernized for me. Annabeth should certainly be blonde and I wasn't crazy about Grover's character either. But most importantly FOLLOW THE BOOK!! These directors and producers seem to think they need to change the story and all they do is RUIN IT! The book is wonderfully written, I absolutely fell in love with the story line. I've only seen the movie once, I honestly can't stomach the thought of sitting though it again but I would be happy to sit though a different re-make!!

Yeah they really should've followed the book. The first time I watched it I talked like the whole way through about how different it was. I'm not gonna get started on that though 'cause otherwise I'll end up with a super long post.
I would never change the scene where Medusa's snake goes up Percy's nose. That was perfect. But I would change the fact that the movie was a joke, I mean, who would hire Steve Coogan to play Hades? They made him a joke

I read all the books (Waiting for Mark of Athena this October) and I'm black and I think Grover shouldn't have been black simply because Percy doesn’t' seem like the type to have a black best friend. ALSO they made him too perverted to those white girls making him fit the stereotype that all black men wanna have sex with white girls(and vise versa) THEY LEFT OUT CLARISSA DAUGHTER OF ARES!!! I liked her. And the battles were corny. THE MOVIE SUCKED ASS!!!But that’s why you read the books b4 u watch any movie. I hope they don’t' make a movie for sea of monsters. God. They... they failed.

Here's the thing about Annabeth and Grover's looks: If Alexandra Dadario had actually played an intelligent, spunky girl, and if she weren't ten years older than she was supposed to be, I might have been able to live with her not having blonde hair. If the actor playing Grover--I haven't seen him in anything else, so I don't know his name--had portrayed himself as a dorky satyr instead of the stereotypical savvy friend, he would have been alright. But the writers ignored both the characters' looks and their personalities. That's what ticked me off.

The world would be right again. I thought Logan was the perfect Percy, but other than that, the movie sucked. Did you hear that they're still making SOM?

Oh, don't even get me started. Rehearsal for six hours yesterday, one of our group members is black, we kept on trashing him, but he starts it off so we all just count it as banter!

Grover shoulda been a geeky white guy. Thats who imagined him as.
I would totally love that if that happened. No affence but Grover was described as a geeky white guy with red hair, Annebeth was BLONDE and had CURLY hair with grey eyes! I think Percy was okay, but they were all the ages of the 5th BOOK! Percy was 12 in the first book, andin middle school! that is just some of the cast i have complaints about, and every thing else should be scraped, it was all just WRONG WRONG WRONG

They really screwed it up bad!It would be one thing if the author didn't describe the characters for us in detail...but he did. I also think think Clarisse should have been in the movie - she was a strong character in the book and if my memory serves me correctly they didn't even mention her in the movie. They didn't show anything about the drunken wine god at camp....there was too much of the book left out and too much garbage added in!
I think they should choose people who are younger than 15 at least. I mean let's face it. If they make all the PJ movies then Logan Lerman will be old enough to retire by the time they get to the Doors of Death and ancient Greece.
I was so disappointed after seeing the movie and how they ruined my favorite book series. I am like the BIGGEST Percy Jackson fan and have gotten so many people to read it. Even though i am a bit older now, i still can't help loving them. It is like my home, not matter how old i get i will always come back to the adventure that took my breathe away.
Now i found out that they are making a second movie. I was quite surprised, considering the first one was such a flop. And the fact that Anthony Head is replacing Pierce Brosnan as Chiron is shocking too. I loved Anthony Head in Merlin (huge Merlin fan too) and was very surprised he took on this role, seeing as he would never sign on to a crappy movie. I think that the creaters of the second movie are taking a huge risk, even with a new director and writers.
Overall, i don't know whether to be dissappointed that they are making another one, or excited. But in the end i am definitely curious. And also Rick Riordan still hasn't seen the movie because he doesn't want it to ruin his image of what he has created. I believe he is a man to be respected :)

I did know though that there is a new director Thor Freaudenthal. Hopefully this time thaey'll stick to the book's plot. Otherwise i wouldliked Grover to be changed and maybe Annabel. Now for Percy...I'm a Logan Lerman fun i cn't say for sure..
If the movie was remade, this is what I'll do:>Change the actors portraying each character.
I get it that they're trying to lure the audience about the cool teenage movie but then again the real characters are just on the beginning of their teenage years! Plus, it's a SERIES. Time will pass by and they characters will get old, it's fun to see the kids portraying the character grow up. They should stick the age range in the book.

I'm not sure how I feel about them changing Chiron. I still think they should start from the beginning again. I mean, how are they supposed to do the second film when the first one was so wrong?

They all seemed too old. Actually....I was okay with Grover and I loved Charion (They should have given him more screen time!). THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the casting was all wrong, except for maybe Luke and a few others. But the trio was all wrong. Every time i ask someone whether they like percy Jackson they answer "OMG logan lerman is like soo hot, i love it" (read in a stereotypical girly voice). And i reply with "Yes..yes he is, but that's beside the point". Clearly they haven't read the books and won't understand my fury towards his terrible anti-percy portrayal. Percy has so many qualities that Logan Lerman hasn't even brushed on. But i suppose it isn't entirely his fault, its also the script. Percy Jackson shouldn't be one of those things that people only like because of the "hot guy" (*cough* Twilight). Annabeth wasn't much like the books, and Grover was completely off.
Oh and ps, what are percy jackson fans called? Potter fans are Potterheads, Doctor Who fans are Whovians. I heard Jackson Junkies. Any thoughts?

Change pretty much EVERYTHING!!!!!!! I hated the movie... IT WAS ALL WRONG- Annabeth does NOT have brown hair, Percy and Annabeth are supposed to be 12 not like 16! There are lots of other stuff wrong with it but I'm not going to go on.
If the movie was remade....just do it perfectly!!! Don't ruin the storyline again!!!
