Hmm . . . right now I can only think of The Sherwood Ring I didn't think I would like it because it's a ghost story. However, it turned out really quirky and wonderful. Now it's one of my favorites.

I didn't thing I would like The Pirate Daughter's Promise or Truth (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12...) by Molly Evangeline but I loved both.
