Jimelle Salyers (jsalyers) | 20 comments Uke, I'll try to answer your question. If a reader is looking at other books in the same genre and click on the tag labeled 'thrillers' for instance, the books with the most tags comes up first. Also, I'm pretty sure it works the same way for searches. If a teen comes to AZ and does a search for YA romance, the search results go by tags. At least, that's how it was explained to me.

OK, I had to quit on page 6 because I was preparing our new book for release. I think I'm caught up, though. I got Sterling, Jerod, J, Miles, Michayla, Victoria, Uke, Toye, Karen, Vickie, Alexa, David, Regina, Florence, Richard, Mike, and Katherine. Shew! Let me know if I missed anyone!

Please tag and like our new book, and thanks in advance!

And here are our older titles:

I find it funny that it took me five months to get an author page, and I'm now telling you to hurry up and do it. Is that the pot calling the kettle black or what?!! Hello, Kettle. So nice to meet you!

Yours truly,

message 468: by David (new)

David F. | 10 comments Vickie, liked Just Evil, Ending Evil, and your author page. Tagged you, when there were more than 15 appropriate tags, I went with the less voted ones. I voted for the three 5 star reviews on Ending Evil. I didn't actually downvote the two star, although I am skeptical of someone who makes such a big deal of editing but gives one example, especially when they admit the book is good otherwise. If they turn out to be a paid editor, that would be different.

If anyone does me, don't bother voting any reviews, they are all fair minded reviews, but I want to give a five star review that might come along later a fighting chance. Skip the really wierd tag at the end of the list, and please add any relevant tags I might have a chance of getting near the top of the list on.

Karen A. Wyle (kawyle) | 102 comments That's odd. When I first visited the page, there were quite a few tags that seemed to have nothing to do with the book description. They're all gone now. The same is true for Lord Byron's Coda.

Thanks for that update, Karen.

And I thank everyone for the likes and tags. However, my participation is ending. My books will have to catch on some other way, or languish.

Best of luck on this and your writing, folks.

I don't know! The publisher expected a lag time and apparently thinks it will come on soon. If it doesn't, I might add a customer image. I put the image at my author central insert and hoped people would see it there. It's frustrating!

Katherine Holmes (klouholmes) | 21 comments I've tagged Spurs for Jose, A Good Wife, Covert Dreams, When Afternoons Taper to Mortality, Jilly-Bean,and Consisus.

Thanks for the tagging! Most have been able to tag my book though the listing isn't complete. The publisher says they're used a lag?! I'm trying to jumpstart it.

Heather (heathermatwich) | 8 comments Hi all. I am new here. So please forgive stupid questions.
What is tagging? Why do we do it? How do you tag? Where do you post the tags?

message 498: by Celia (last edited Jun 19, 2012 04:41AM) (new)

Celia Vogel | 9 comments I'm new too. But I believe tagging is a way to "be seen" on the Amazon search engine. At least that's my understanding. The more tags a book has the greater likelihood the book will show up when someone is searching a certain genre. If you consider the number of ebooks out there, well...
