Yep :) Five years- I play for two clubs in two agegroups and I'm part of the Northern Tasmania team :)

Heaps of people say they don't want to play hockey cause it's violent- and it is, but I say it is competitive and mostly you only get hurt if you aren't a good player or the person you're versing isn't a good player. Like, the worst injury I've ever had is a dislocated knee cap, but it wasn't that bad.

Hockey's a tough sport for tough people lol :)

the only thing that worried me at first about hockey was how hard the ball is

The thing is, all "ball" sports have hard balls. "Soft Ball" has a hard ball (so why the heck that name!?), same with baseball, cricket, basketball, etc etc. And besides, your more likely to get injured from flying sticks and limbs in hockey rather than the ball itself.

yeah i know, now that i think about it that maybe why i;m not so into cricket and baseball.

i took a hard hit to the head from a hockey ball playing with my brother, when i was like 8 or 9

basketballs, tennis balls, footballs are hard, but they are bouncy hard as opposed to the rock hard hockey and golf balls

yep. its more likely that it will come to your country or one very near it before it goes back to brazil (the world cup seems to be good for the economy, so more and more countries want to host it)
