We recently moved from Las Vegas, NV and we spent a lot of time in Utah - we loved it as well.

message 120: by [deleted user] (new)

:) I love the LDS population here. The temples are all so incredible!

Kim-Lost-In-A-Book I am not religious but I do love religious buildings. I have a thing for all of them. When I was in Cairo last year I was really impressed with the mosques, they were so beautiful.

and every where we travel my husband and I like to visit the churches/Cathedrals - the more gothic the better. :-)

Hahaha. We do have really cold winters... I've never seen igloos or wandering polar bears though. XP

message 123: by [deleted user] (new)

:) I'm religious, but I love ALL temples and such. I also love Utah because we have SEASONS. It doesn't just stay warm, or cold, all year round.

Kim-Lost-In-A-Book Yeah it's funny that's one of the reasons why I loved Vegas lol. we had more actual seasons there than we had in FL. I expected it to be hot all the time. Turns out it's not, it's just that when it's hot it's really hot lol

it's always hot here. :P

message 126: by [deleted user] (new)

Mm hmm. :) I love Florida, but I don't think I could ever live there..

Kim-Lost-In-A-Book yeah I hated living in FL. It's nice to visit though.

message 128: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. :) I went to the Islands of Adventure (for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We didn't really go anywhere else in the park.) and it was a bit too HOT for my taste. It was still really awesome, though!

Kim-Lost-In-A-Book cool!

Carol (goodreadscomcarolann) | 214 comments I just got back from a great 10 day trip -- flew to CA (San Bernandino Mts, Santa Monica Pier, Riverside) flew to Salt Lake City & drove to Ogden, there we saw freestyle skiers doing amazing jumps at the 2002 Olympic facility, went to Park City (Sundance festival held in Jan). Drove up through Idaho to Montana to Wyoming. Went to Yellowstone Natl. Park-- beautiful foliage! Hot springs & tons of animals -- bison, elk, wolves, moose, bears walk towards you! The next day to Grand Teton Natl Park -- amazing vistas. Flew home-- (1) Salt Lake City UT to (2) Denver CO to (3) Baltimore, MD to (4) Hartford, CT -- took a total of 11 hours!

Kim-Lost-In-A-Book What a great trip!! I love Yellowstone and Tetons. Utah is gorgeous. and we stayed in Montana for a week when we did our Yellowstone trip - so gorgeous. It's all beautiful up there.

So glad you had a good time!

Carol (goodreadscomcarolann) | 214 comments It is so easy & fun to do with digital cameras!! ~ Things have changed so much since I was a photo major in college! I lived in the dark rooms and had to load the film on a reel in the complete darkness.
