^ Haha, that is one of the stereotypical images projected around - 'clean,green NZ'. There are lots of hilly cities, and great scenery, but it's not like it's right outside the door. Several hours' drive I'd say :P

I'm from Texas - born and raised. :) And Alice is right, it's brown and hot. Especially after that horrible, awful summer. Worst drought we've had in decades. They're already predicting all the black outs we're gonna have. >.<I'm proud of my Texan roots (as all Texans must be), but I'm not a huge fan of the heat or the country. I'd love to move at some point.

Nashville, Tn. My boyfriend lives in Ireland so I visit as much as I can-going for my next trip the end of August. Anyone in the group actually from Ireland? :)

Thanks. He is 100% Irish. He has the accent & charm but not the red hair. ;) In fact, I saw just a handful of redheads on my last visit. haha

haha thanks :) Well it's kinda unique. My old college roommate is from Ireland. Since she graduated we still kept in touch by email and skype. She brought Dave and I together. He is a good friend of hers and I guess she thought he & I would get along well. I got to know him better for a year by skype and then Abbey invited me to Ireland for a " holiday visit to her" but I left Ireland with a boyfriend. haha I don't like setups but She did well when she planned this.
And after meeting him, spending time there with his family and friends. I have grown to love everything that deals with Ireland. I've always been into Irish ChickLit but now I am trying to learn everything.. Even their formal language-Gaelic.The Distance isn't too bad now because we visit each other often. He is 6 hours ahead so we have to plan our talks and such but we have been making it work for almost 2 years :)... Hasnt been that hard well it's hard on us financially but that is the only drawback we have had.

I'm from Canada, eh! Although, that "eh" is not in the right context...it would be somewhere like this "So you like sleigh dogging, eh?"...but I figured because I'm Canadian I had to put our apparently quintessential expression in somewhere. ;)
