Dragon Actually is really good. GA Aiken (aka Shelly Laurenston) is one of my favorite authors. With that said you could also read Mane Event. Note that there are a few books before that one (Magnus Pack) that are optional.

My goodness, how long do they let you keep them. LOL

There are a few really good reads in there but Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Kitty Norville, #1) by Carrie Vaughn is my favorite of the ones I've read. The writing is really good and I love Kitty. She seems weak at first but she definitely grows by the end of the book and becomes a great kick ass heroine.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments You guys have all convinced me, I started Succubus Blues this morning.

message 11: by Missyb (new)

Missyb | 493 comments The Dragon Kin series by Aiken is funny, a little brutal but it takes place in the medevil times, action, romance, sex. Dragons & witches & family squabbles.

The Pride series by Laurenston is funny. Lots of action, romance, sex, and laghs. Same author as the Dragon Kin series. Lions, wolfs, wild dogs, bears.

Cassandra Palmer series by Chance is good. Very long chapters and good mix of characters. Witches, vamps, demons, etc.

I'd like to know what you and others think of the Kitty Norville series. I'm intersted in picking that one up to read myself.

Demonic series is on my to read list.

haven't read the others.

P.A. Lupton (palupton) | 909 comments I change my vote. Kitty is good but these guys convinced me to read Succubus Blues and it is excellent. 5 star read for me.

Lol I cried at the end too! I was sad it was over as well, but the end was such a great one. There definitely needs to be a spin-off though.

ஐAndreaஐ (rosesrrblue) | 707 comments Then ending was the best! I'm with you, hoping for a spin off! Wow, I really gotta read that again. The whole series was emotional for me. Richelle Mead is my favorite! Have your read her other series?

message 20: by Ty (new)

Ty Angel's Blood!

But dang, y'all just made me TBR Succubus Blues....

message 21: by ஐAndreaஐ (new)

I was just thinking of doing a reread too! Definitely one of those books you can go back to. Richelle Mead is awesome, one of the most talented UF/PNR authors I've read. I did read Vampire Academy which was amazing!! Wow, the last few books blew me away. Now I'm waiting for Golden Lily to come out.

Melanie Van Rhyn (vanrhyns) | 1 comments My favourite from your collection would have to be Shiver from Maggie Stiefvater. Her Scorpio Races is one of my alltime favourites. Have you read Patricia Briggs? Or the Dante Valentine series by Lilith Saintcrow?

message 24: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 114 comments I'm a Karen Chance fan.
Cassie Palmer
Touch the Dark (Cassandra Palmer, #1) by Karen Chance Claimed By Shadow (Cassandra Palmer, #2) by Karen Chance Embrace the Night (Cassandra Palmer, #3) by Karen Chance Curse the Dawn (Cassandra Palmer, #4) by Karen Chance Hunt the Moon (Cassandra Palmer, #5) by Karen Chance
Dorina Basacab
Midnight's Daughter (Dorina Basarab, #1) by Karen Chance Death's Mistress (Dorina Basarab, #2) by Karen Chance Fury's Kiss (Dorina Basarab, #3) by Karen Chance
Both series are great, in the same world and have a few cross over characters, Cassie is great but I love Dory!

I also loved the Guild Hunter Series by Nalini Singh & loved loved Karen Marie Moning's Highlanders series, at least the from about the third one in the first two are okay but not as good as the last five (I haven't read the novella Into the dreaming, so I can't comment on that one).

But I have to admit, I have Succubus Blues, Kitty, Demonica, STacia Kane (Downside Ghosts) in my TBR pile and what I have read of them I have enjoyed.
Which ever one you choose I hope you enjoy.
Have fun reading.
