Some thoughts on the NT 8GB tablet, have had it for a couple of weeks now.
Books and netflix are fantastic, especially with HD movies. I think the picture is a little better than it is with the NC. Movies are not jumpy and for the most part the experience is just like watching them on my computer. Need headphones of course although there is a tiny speaker.
I've tried several of the apps, have not found a use for most of them, with the exception of the Webster's Dictionary app which is a little more expensive. Very nice, do not need to be connected to the internet to use it.
The web browser is pretty good but I gave up on the email client when I realized I couldn't even edit a typo in an email contact. I would rather use email on my real computer.
I tried using facebook but my FB account is too complicated for a simple device, may work for others. But I started using Twitter for the first time (my kids made fun of me - Twitter, dad, seriously?) and found it to work well with the display the NT has. Google+ also works well for me.
I love it but think I will use it mostly for reading and occasionally watching movies. When I'm not on a computer I really should be reading :-).
