I couldn't finish the series but I still think the first 5 books that I read were definitely worth reading!

Delia I liked the whole series and look forward to reading the next book. It's a teen series so it's not moving like an adult series. If that makes sense. While I didn't think it was the best series of books, I found them entertaining.

Tricia Barr If you're a fan of the House of Night series, you will love my new book Amaranthine, you can get it here: http://www.amazon.com/Amaranthine-Tri...

Julie I have enjoyed them. Maybe not as much as Vampire Academy and the like but enough that I have all of the books in hard cover even though I rarely purchase books and keep them once I have read them. I recommend them.

Delia The book you recommended Amaranthine, is this also a teen novel?

it is wonderful after i read the first book i just had to read the rest

Megpie The first couple books are good then they just string out and get reallllyyy bad. This series was more of a miss with me.. I was disappointed.

deedee megadoodoo Ok look! It is really good the first five or so books but later on the whole story line is rushed, the main character seems like a hoe, and the author kills off some people. Its a never-ending story of the same drama when it gets past "Burned"

Cheyenne card i guess but i still really liked it

I actually like the series for me in order to get into the book it has to hold my attention and this series does for me. If you like vampires i would say go for it.

RegencyEmma Nope!

Rachel no don't read it, I didn't even make it 2 the second book because it was way too boring for me. Try reading the mortal instruments series instead!!!

I too liked this series and would recommend this series. The mortal instruments are another good series to read too.

I found that the mortal instruments series was confusing when you got to the climax, but the rest of the books were good. But honestly, I like this series more.

Trina I have read all of the books except for the most recent, Destined. When I started reading the first book I was 24 and coming off the Twilight phase. I knew this was about vampires, but I didn't realize they were also witches. It's not like Harry Potter type magic, it's more goddesses and elemental magic. At first I was hesitant just because I wasn't familiar with this type of magic, but I don't think the book pushes it down your throat. There are also a few sexual encounters. I'm just saying that so you know the themes present. I'm an adult so it didn't bother me.

What did bother me was the completely childish dialogue, especially in the first book. I probably would not have read any further in the series except that I had already purchased a boxed set. And I have to say that the writing, characters, and plot mature GREATLY throughout the series. There are some likeable characters, and enough happens to keep me reading. My favorite book of the series is Burned.

Mariana If you can ignore the bad writing style...

Jenna i thought they were good books, until u got to a certain point then its like come on end already but they just keep going on and on

i agree with you but im still reading them and keeping up with em and will continue to only because when i start a book series i gotta see it to the end regardless lol
