Amy Burgess | 6 comments Hi Everyone,

I'm Amy Lee Burgess and I've got two books out currently with Lyrical Press. They are both from a series called The Wolf Within about wolf shifters. The first one, Beneath the Skin, introduces the characters Constance Newcastle, Liam Murphy and Jason Allerton and the second, Scratch the Surface, picks up where the first one left off.

Each novel is a paranormal mystery. Constance has a nose for digging up dangerous secrets. She and Liam are bond mates, but they were bonded under strange circumstances, not for love. However, as their relationship deepens, love may not be far behind!

You can contact me at amyleeburgess99@gmail.com and read my blog at http://amyleeburgess.blogspot.com.

I hope to hear from people soon and would love to chat about my books. I'm always looking for feedback and reviews!

Jenna Jaxon | 20 comments Hi, Amy! I am always curious what draws writers to their particular genres. How did you come to write paranormal and specifically wolf shifters over vampires?

Amy Burgess | 6 comments Hi Jenna. I write about vampires too. I'm actually just finishing a novel about them. :) But the wolf shifters have my heart, I think. I was drawn to them because I'm fascinated with the idea of what you could discover about yourself if you had the ability to shift into a different form. I picked wolves because I wanted my novels to take place in the contemporary world and dragons wouldn't quite fit. I also have loved wolves for years. I've read a lot of wolf shifter novels and I disagreed with some of the basic rules in them and thought I should stop complaining and write it the way I wanted to see it. I'm five novels into the series now and am still really enjoying it.

Jenna Jaxon | 20 comments Cool! I never thought about what you could discover about yourself if you could shift into a different form. But I see how it would change your perspective drastically. Instead of taking a walk in another's shoes, you're literally in their skin.

My protagonist, Constance, has to work with her wolf. Hers is not quite the same as everyone else's. So she has the double strangeness of seeing through a wolf's eyes but even still being different than everybody else who can shift.

Hi Savannah. I devour paranormal books like candy. Demons, vampires, shifters, angels, dragons. I love it all. :)
