I didn't understand those 1-minute kind of "silent movie" scenes where dramatic music is just playing while the shaky camera turns on everyone and zooms around everywhere. That was kind of unnecessary for me, and I didn't like that they did that.
My favorite character... that's a hard one. One of them is most definitely Prim. Every time she came on screen I just burst into tears. The actress, Willow Shields, was amazing in the film. I don't want to be all cliche and say Katniss is my favorite (she's the protagonist, of course she's going to be likable by the majority!).
I haven't decided about what I think about Katniss' personality. I know she means well, and I know that S.C. wanted to make her likable, but I don't like her decisions for some of the things (I am currently on the first half of the 2nd book, so I haven't finished yet).
Once again, this 3rd question is a hard one. I came into the book on Gale's side, but it keeps switching over and over. I think that Peeta is a sweet boy and that he's in love with Katniss and everything, but I think Gale & Katniss were meant for each other and that since they are best friends they can tell each other anything and everything and they have the strongest bond. That makes them likable as a couple, so I must say I'm on Team Gale.

I personally sometimes like aand dont like Katniss. At times I dont like how she processes her thoughts and thinks through things. But most of the time i think she is pretty likable and a good character.
I think since in the book I was introduced to Gale first, it made me more sympathetic to him. With Peeta, it was more like he had to be protective and a friend to Katniss since they were fighting to the death together. And like you said, its like Gale and Katniss were made for each other. So yes, i am also Team Gale.

I expected it to be a watered down version of Stephen Kings The Running Man, but it's not. If anything it's more shocking!.
After an iffy start I found I liked Katniss as a lead character. I usually like my Heroines a little more, well, girly!.She was sympathetic and tough at the same time and by the end I was really hoping things worked out for her.
I also really liked Peeta, although I did feel a little sorry for the guy by the end of the novel. I felt the book also had a ton of well rounded and distinctive secondary characters, I even liked poor Foxface!.
I'm terrible at following the morals of a story but I assume it was meant to be something along the lines of:
Tyranny's bad.
People are becoming de-sensitized to violence.
Reality TV's bad, bad, bad!( so I hope ).
If I've missed the real message, please feel free to enlighten me.
I'm looking forward to book two, it should be interesting to see which direction the series takes from here. I'm also looking forward to meeting more of Katniss's family and Gale( at this stage I feel he's who Katniss wants the most ).

I did not like Mockingjay quite as much as the other two books!. Thought it was such a sad book.
Peeta was my favorite character in the whole series, never really liked Gale.

I loved Mockingjay! I agree that it was sad, I thought it was really action packed and full of suspense. I found that all three of the books held my attention and had a great plot.

I think it hurt Mockingjay that Peeta was such a peripheral character for the first half of the book. And after what the capitol did to him, it took him so long to recover!.
Finnick was one of my favorite characters in Catching Fire and Mockingjay was not kind to him either!.
