Hunger Games at the Gem

If anyone is going to the Gem on Saturday to watch it, they are doing a canned food drive from 6:30-7 to feed the hungry for hunger games :)
It's also showing at the drive in in albemarle tonight at midnight :)

That may have been better than the book, although the dogs at the end were just dogs.

To me the book will always be better, but I very much enjoyed the fact that you get out of Katniss' head in the movie and get to see other things going on. (view spoiler)[ I especially loved the control room and the dialogue between Snow and Seneca Crane. I think they left out some of the best scenes and quotes from the movie though. (hide spoiler)] The casting deserves 5+ stars though. I know there was some concern when the casting decisions were announced but I think someone knew what they were doing there. I cannot wait until they do Catching Fire. That was my favorite book of the trilogy.
